In the UK, Kerrang plays this video like all the days, in their nu-metal countdowns, Scuzz is another great channel that still plays videos from them, Rebel and Slusnej Kanal in Czech Republic, RCK in Germany, and for the last A-One UA in Ukraine, all of them plays rock and metal videos all day. I just wish MTV X could return someday

It sure was good times. This is almost classic rock (metal) nowadays. Not quite,
but soon. That means our generation can start playing the shit out of it and irritate our kids like the 70s and 80s people did to us.

High School was a strange time for me as a metalhead. This album is far better than most of the nu-metal I was listening to, but these guys went from being Fear Factory, Jr., to Orgy part 2. Then they disappeared, and re-appeared, trying to come across as more of a traditional metal band. Didn't work. Everyone remembers these guys being kind of a joke...even if Burton C. Bell and Wayne Static (R.I.P.) were big supporters.
The days of Nu-Metal are an odd chapter in the history of Heavy Metal.

@@joshuaberthelot2467 Lol. Just because "that world" is "dead" now, doesn't mean that nu metal chicks have been abducted by aliens & wiped out of existence. They obviously still exist, and even continue to amass; they're just a lot farther & fewer between.
Nu metal chicks (women who expressively identify with this particular era/culture) are STILL hot, regardless of whatever world we're living in.
I'm also in disagreement with you, the world we have now isn't "freakn total trash" compared to back then. In the grander scheme of it all, it's actually way better.
Culturally, we've changed for the worst. But, that doesn't mean you, as an individual, have to conform to those changes. Does it?
It's 2019 now, going on 2020. I STILL express myself & dress like it's the late '90s - early 2000s. I'll continue to do it until the end of my days. That's me-that's just who I am. If I can do it, so can anybody else.
In a way, society's better now-because it IS filled with snowflakes; which makes it far less cruel. Play your cards right, & you can take advantage of that.
You get to watch "Spineshank - Synthetic" music video, amongst pretty much any other nu metal music video, on demand through RUclips. Let that sink in for a minute...
You don't have to go home after work/school & watch TRL or Headbanger's Ball on MTV anymore. You can watch whatever the fuck you want to-whenever you want to. Open your eyes, cuzz. THAT'S the world you're living in today.
Be passionate, don't be jaded. Don't waste yourself. You got a voice too. Be the fucking change in this life that YOU want to see.

      +DownfallDarkness
I'll only have to disagree about snowflakes. In the end, they don't really affect cruelty in any way. Nobody does. Besides, they're no better themselves. At all. And most of them have proven to be nothing but a burden to society.
But other than that, you absolutely nailed it down, man! 👍🏻

Probably one of the first bands I ever listened to that has a good roar! This would have been before I found Slipknot. My tastes have matured a lot since then, now its Insomnium and Opeth but I never forgot this video and the bit where the robot echoes his roar back to him. Good stuff.

    Best Spineshank song by far.
Fantastic memories from 2002 of covering this song aged 16 in a mate’s room. I was on bass and backing vocals (i.e. screaming “SYNTHETIC!”).
Looking back I feel sorry for my mate’s neighbours. Can’t have been nice having five teenage cretins hammering out nu-metal all night.

You know, I do believe that Jonny Santos with his two projects was such an underrated musician and one of the best in this genre. I am living in 2020 now and here is corona raging all over the world and I still listen Spineshank and SC, and I were doing this since I was in school, since the formation of first band with Sarkisyan, Garcia and Decker. I don't know where Jonny is now, what he is doing nowadays, I just know that my dream will never become real - seeing Spineshank back on stage and perfoming a live shows, which I would be happy to attend. I would give much just to see this person face-to-face, shake his hand and say thank you for all that he done during the 2000s. Maybe one day I will get a chance to talk at least online, as face-to-face meeting is impossible, but the twitter is abandoned, and nothing else was found. But whatever, Jonny, I think, your music will be in my playlists as long as I live. \m/

@@magneteye, wow, that's very nice to hear, thanks!
Honestly, recently I was thinking about getting in touch with the Spineshank, and make some sort of interview for one of our Internet-publishers, as I work for one of our Internet-publishers and can release some sort of article about music of 2000s or whatever, but I get no response from them, and Jonny's account on Instagram (the only link to him I found) is private.
It seems that only option I have is to be happy that you delivered him my message, which is a great news for me).

Is it possible to like Tool and accept they are mainstream? Really it's a good thing when a talented band becomes mainstream, honestly I wish a lot more bands were. You shouldn't want a band to be underground, while you may feel more cultured knowing the artists that are struggling for fame why wouldn't you wish that dream to come true for them?
I hope more talented bands come up out of the bottom in the future.
