No, that would defeat the purpose of the hardware device, if it could reveal the seed phrase. However, you can confirm it using an app called Ledger recovery check. When you open the app, it will ask you to input the seed phrase you have written down. If it is a match, it will tell you that it's confirmed. support.ledger.com/article/360007223753-zd
I haven't touched my ledger nano in 6 years. I'm thinking of cashing out a few thousand worth of LTC. I hope I can figure out how to do this via coin base. I'm 70....and not very techie.
Hello. I got on my ledger live „nft recived with title like go to some website” walue of this transaction was 0. I didn’t click on this website I didn’t interact with this link. Can you tell me if my crypto on this ledger live are safe? Is it possible that my ledger live is infected in some way? Or I should to ignore this and don’t worry?
Excellent video.. im new to this but now have a bit of confidence to take my crypto off kraken in to a wallet I control. I guess when I transfer back on to an exchange if the value has went up it will automatically give me the up to date price per coin? Thank you again. In a world of such misleading nonsense you’ve earned a sub!
Yes, if you reset your device, the ledger device will generate a new random master, private key and generate a new 24 word seed phrase. The device is designed to generate a random seed.
Sure if you’re using Coinbase app on your phone then Ledger Live can generate a QR code for the address. You can scan this with your Coinbase app to fill in the destination address. I would still double check the addresses manually once it fills in to make sure it’s correct.
@@CryptoDad Thank you so much! Do you think Tangem is a "real" cold wallet even if in the seedless setup mode? It doesn't have a secure screen and the details are shown in the app which can be hacked and open to online threats. In addition to that, the access code is entered in the app, not in the wallet itself. In the seed phrase setup mode, it is definitely not a cold wallet because the seed phrase is generated and shown on the app or we need to type it in the app in case of a recovery! Isn't it?
Yes, almost identical set up. The Ledger Nano X just has the additional capability of interfacing with mobile devices through Bluetooth. Other than that it’s pretty much the exact same device.
Please send me an email with your questions at thecryptodad@gmail.com. And mention your RUclips handle so I’ll make the connection. I apologize. I get an avalanche of comments every day sometimes they get lost in the shuffle.
I totally agree. The Tangem is much easier to use, but it doesn’t have the versatility of the ledger device. That doesn’t mean you have to choose one or the other. I own both. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Tangem is much easier to set up and use. But it is also much more difficult to use with web-3 applications like MetaMask. Ledger does a much better job of securing a MetaMask account. Once again we need to get out of this mindset of having to choose only one crypto wallet. There is no law that says you can’t have more than one crypto wallet to manage your assets. I own several, but I use my ledger device the most because it is the most versatile and is compatible with the most third-party wallets and frankly supports the most cryptocurrencies. However I love the Tangem device and use it on a daily basis
@@CryptoDad makes sense. I always just could never stand the whole tap and double tap method. I actually own one but rarely use. Maybe I am just not used to it as well.
@@AteamDavid yeah I totally get that. I was kind of forced to learn how to use one because ledger was pretty much the only thing around when I first started back in 2017.
🤔 i dont know .... about these hardware wallet... Arr they safe ? I have seen here on YT how a guy hacked a hardware wallet many times and got the private keys out and the pepole he helped got their BTC back ... If it can be done on a TREZOR i guess it can be done anywhere ???

One question, if we reset the device, would ledger give me DIFFERENT 24 Words? How I can be so sure that my ledger has been used before.
Yes, if you reset your device, the ledger device will generate a new random master, private key and generate a new 24 word seed phrase. The device is designed to generate a random seed.
It safe to send via qr code from ledger to coinbase on my mobile device?

Does Ledger Nano S plus have a "Secure" Screen?
Yes, all ledger devices have screens powered directly from the secure element chip.

Not true.

Guys, don't buy Ledger.
Why not?
Why??
@@hannah6778 Just look at their latest controversies, I wouldn't trust them.

Because he logged into a scam site, got REKT and blames Ledger. 😎
