Disclaimer
Before I went out into the mountains I had checked various weather forecasts and also the SAIS avalanche forecast for this area. I also had given my route card to various friends and updated them through out the day on my progress. I also have done various winter routes before and I stay within my own capability's hence why I never carried on to the summit. I also had enough winter equipment and food to stay out longer if required.

Well done mate that was awsome. Done the Buckle a few times in not quite as bad conditions as you just did. Good decision in getting off when you did . Nothing worse than coming off in the dark, and being on your own you needed to be at the valley floor in daylight.

Brilliant video! Love the aerial shots and your choice of music. Good timing too as it looks you had this famous hill for yourself. Hard steep terrain to scramble up and some good navigation skills. Well done.😁
