guys that was wicked, coach was insane! loved it! well put together video had me smiling! if you guys are that talented at model building, hows about doing Charlie crokers aston................now that WOULD be something !
Thanks for all the comments! There is more to come from 'The Coach' yet (including stuff the creator hasn't even told me about yet). There isn't a build thread about this model anywhere yet (the one on tamiya club is not this coach), but is something that is being worked on, will link here when something is in place.
i think theres many rc kits available to create the minis and parts to create hybrids. being honest id say there should be a police car or 2 but great fun
daniel anderson Yes the Mini's are tamiya kits, in this case the older M03 chassis. Future plans for the coach include 3 fully detailed Mini's (shells kindly sponsored by Radshape RC), the coach's owner Rich also now has a Tamiya M05 chassis on which to mount one of the finished shells. A replica of the bullion truck is also being produced and I'm sure one or two more vehicles may materialize also. Please check out the March edition of Racer (out now) for more pictures and details of the coach.
daniel anderson, glad you'd like to see more of the fleet. currently in production for the next vid are three accurate minis, a 109 landrover, bullion van and two alfa police cars. This was only really a test day for coach, but Adams fantastic skills with the editing of the limited footage we got on the day took us all by surprise and blew us all away, its seems to have gone down really well, so the next one should be even better once completed and hopefully should appeal to even the hardcore Italian Job fans 👍
adam burgess I guess the challenge now is the police cars and possibly a Commer van. I do love the attention to detail, including the driver of the bus. You really have kept in the spirit of the movie; fast, furious, but definitely not taking itself too seriously
In the full vid we have in the pipeline for late summer, aswell as the 3 new correctly detailed minis, the landrover and bullion van, there will also be 2 acurate police cars and a special nod to that very famous opening scene, watch this space and hopefully we won't disappoint 👍
Thanks. The coach is custom built, with just a few basic running gear parts taken from old Tamiya touring cars but chassis and body are all scratch built. The Mini's are Tamiya M03's, old cars now but can still be bought, in fact I still race mine regularly. The Mini shells are hard to get hold of now and therfore expensive but theres other non-tamiya versions around. In terms of scale I guess it is all around 1:10 scale approx. Hopefully we'll get other opportunities to run the display again. The coach needs some work to get it back up and running, and I know its owner and creator is always looking for ways to improve the design too. In addition to the event where we filmed for this video, the coach has appeared at a Mini show, on a BBC TV segment and an RC Racer magazine piece was written too. Hopefully when the world returns to normal there are other things we can do with all the vehicles again. Thanks for commenting 👍
Sorry mate my son deleted all the build photos I had taken grrr, there's a build scene of the mk1 version under kmcc rc italian job jae 2012, and also a rough vid with 3 minis under rc italian job 2014 + 3 minis
Cian Ha nah that's a somebody else's project, if you RUclips kmcc does italian job, you should see a black artic lorry I made, listen to the music somebody put on and that's where it all started. The next evolution is under rc italian job 2012 at Jae, that's the mk1. This is the mkll and mklll is underway, thanks for the interest buddy :-)
@@richhangonladsivegotanidea1832 Hello! My apology for missed out your message and late reply. Ive tried to google on the camera name you gave, it seems almost the same. Thank you once again for the info. :)
Heene Studios I can only speak for my Mini - the camera car, but its running the standard ESC with a HPI Saturn 20t motor, Savox servo, 3 Racing shocks with the Tamiya spring kit, anti-roll bar kit, adjustable camber links, reinforced gear set and Shimizu medium compound tyres.
I would definitely like to do a few full size mini shows once the full fleet of vehicles is complete, depends on the commitments of all the other team members as to which ones we can do, but something I'll look into 👍
On the roof of the mini is the full HD Möbius camera. On the coach is a WiFi sports camera, similar to the SJ4000 (gopro sized action can). All very cheap cameras but perfect for this kind of thing, beats paying £250/$400 for a gopro just to tape to a toy car!
That Coach is totally amazing. Always wanted an rc one just like that. Top work sir.
Awesome work, not only in concept and build but also in camera work and production - enjoyed it immensely.

Thank you Mock!
Cool stuff! Now all you need to do is make the intro - RC Lamborghini Miura and smash that into an RC dozer haha:)
In the full vid we have in the pipeline for late summer, aswell as the 3 new correctly detailed minis, the landrover and bullion van, there will also be 2 acurate police cars and a special nod to that very famous opening scene, watch this space and hopefully we won't disappoint 👍

Aweseomsauce! Is there a build thread anywhere?

Rich Vyse No worries, I found an old (c. 2006) thread on Tamiyaclub, which I think was where you started playing with the idea. Great set of builds!
Cian Ha nah that's a somebody else's project, if you RUclips kmcc does italian job, you should see a black artic lorry I made, listen to the music somebody put on and that's where it all started. One of the smartest things I ever seen. Top work. Is the Bedford Val model a Twin Steer too?
Wow - do you make any more coaches ? It doesn't have to be that design ?
Wicked :-)
Almost as good as the real thing !
Wow! This is an awesome job. Very cool! What kind of small camera do you install on the blue mini and inside the bus as well? :)
Mobius on the mini and I believe Adam used an SJ4000 in the bus but I might be wrong
@@richhangonladsivegotanidea1832 Hello! My apology for missed out your message and late reply. Ive tried to google on the camera name you gave, it seems almost the same. Thank you once again for the info. :)
Are those minis modified?? Maybe new shocks or steering?

I want the Mini Cooper
take it down to London to brighton mini run this year.
I would definitely like to do a few full size mini shows once the full fleet of vehicles is complete, depends on the commitments of all the other team members as to which ones we can do, but something I'll look into 👍
Rich Vyse would be really good to see it.
mark hancock, thanks buddy 👍
outfknstanding
Please could you tell me what cameras you were using on these cars?

Truly awesome !
