  • Why did Daniel refuse to eat the king's food? How can I keep from defiling myself? (Daniel chapter 1 diet)
How does Daniel’s decision to not defile himself apply to our daily choices? In Daniel chapter 1 we see that despite Daniel’s captivity and his immersion into the Babylonian culture and language, he draws a line and says no to their diet. Daniel decided to be faithful to the law of God by not allowing Nebuchadnezzar to gain victory over the one thing Daniel still had control over-his physical sanctuary-his body, his heart, and mind. Nebuchadnezzar had corrupted the physical building in Jerusalem, but Daniel would not allow him to corrupt the sanctuary of his own soul. Thus, Daniel determined to stay true to God’s law and God’s truth at all costs. Our daily decisions matter. Every day we make choices about what we eat, what we watch, and what we listen to. Either we are making holy choices, or we are making less than holy choices. Our daily choices determine our destiny.

Food also defiles us. Go look up studies on pork meat and how it breaks the body down. The Most High said don’t eat it for a reason. Anything in the water without fins and scales. Go research. I’m trying to figure out, if the Daniel fast is actually his lifestyle, his normal way of eating.

As far as food, Jesus said it's what comes out the mouth is what defiles a man. Whatever u eat, do it to the glory of God under the law of liberty in Christ.

When Jesus said that he was talking to the Pharisees who were trying to teach eating with unwashed hands would defile you. Jesus never said it is okay to eat anything you want because he would be going against the word of God (Leviticus 11) and we all know Christ would never do that.

Jesus declared all foods clean (Mark 7:19). Later, God gave the apostle Peter a vision that implied formerly unclean animals could be eaten: “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15). When Jesus died on the cross, He fulfilled the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15). This includes the laws regarding clean and unclean foods.
Romans 14:1-23 teaches us that not everyone is mature enough in the faith to accept the fact that all foods are clean. As a result, if we are with someone who would be offended by our eating “unclean” food, we should give up our right to do so as to not offend the other person. We have the right to eat whatever we want, but we do not have the right to offend other people, even if they are wrong. For the Christian, we have freedom to eat whatever we wish as long as it does not cause someone else to stumble in his/her faith.

interestingly, this seems to just be what Daniel are in general. The most conservative menu we can determine is that it was a non-alcoholic vegan diet also following Jewish dietary restrictions. It looks like people make it more strict for a fast, like only eating unleavened bread. I find it hilarious that Daniel’s fast in Chapter 10 is just that diet but without any pleasant food. I haven’t seen anyone take the Daniel Fast to that extreme. Haha

      Final Conversation
It would appear the ten virgins are engaged in the conversation over oil.
Virgin = a believer who holds no false doctrines - which means they are not imprisoned within the mainstream church apostasy.
Oil = correct understanding of scripture - which fosters an appreciation of the Name of the Most High (to engender an eternal attitude).
The foolish ask the wise to share their oil (impart understanding) but the wise can see there is not enough to share (no time).
The wise rebuke the foolish telling them to go to the merchant (Holy Spirit) to get their own oil - because they both recognise the Lord is approaching.
What, then, can the foolish expect to find ...
The light-bearer has been falsely interpreting the scripture - to establish religiosity.
It is the responsibility of each person to receive the light (Word of God) and interpret it for themselves correctly, by studying the scripture with humility, to exemplify the Name of the Most High.
When the scripture says the Name of the Most High is unutterable - it means it cannot be made audible.
It can only be observed in the way we abound in the love of Christ (which is to walk in perfect humility toward each other - the way Yahshua did).
The Name of the Most High is made manifest when there is no hierarchical structure - since the presence of hierarchy is the six-six-six (pyramid equation) that is made manifest by those who seek to assert their own authority, or the authority of some institution, over others.
Indeed ... there has been contention over who has authority - for millennia - because the Messiah Complex is a dangerous affliction of the human condition.
The Law of God requires individuals to deny the flesh, as a circumcision of the heart, to placate the ego to a state of nothingness to avoid religiosity (delusion).
Delusion (sin) manifests itself as religion (institution) so we know God does not sanction religion - especially since Yahshua took issue with those who use the scripture to assert their own religiosity (hierarchy) over others.
Everyone is faced with a decision to deny or embrace the Christ - which is exemplified in the YHWH tetragram - and the Most High is gracious enough to let each person draw their own conclusion by the subjective experiences they encounter in life.
YHWH - You'd Hey Vav Hey - means: Hand Behold Nail Behold
This is a description to highlight the importance of looking to the crucifixion - because the work really is finished.
We have little more than the choice to live by faith (peace) or die in our sins (delusion).
Choose wisely and may your journey be blessed with understanding.
      Bless 💖 the Name

The short answer is that the meat could have been unclean, that is, from an animal designated by God to be unclean and unfit to eat (see Leviticus 11. The meat could have still had the blood in it. The Jews were prohibited from eating any meat with blood in it (Lev 17:11 and previously in Gen 9:3-4). Or it might have been sacrificed to idols. Eating it would have had the appearance of communion or idolatrous worship (Act 15:28-29).

I think he was vegan and ate vegetables that kept him very strong and profetic
so it was not a kosher thing as most think, but a original food thing (genisis 1.29). He understood what hosea 6.6 and mathew 9.13 says: I desire mercy not sacrifce. Mercy is for animals too. Animals are not food. He did not see meat as food. Meat consumption started as beeing offered to false God's. Now its an offer for over lust animal did not make. And this offer needs us to kill. God sad thau shall not kill. I stopped for good too.. it's not only saving animals but helping the earth and my health for the better. The newset danish translation sadly edded to the text (cause of religious reasons) wich is not in older versions.

Animals were given to us as food from God himself after the flood (Genesis 9:3) and later with Moses & Aaron goes into further detail about which animals are good to consume (Leviticus 11). You think Christ would partake in the passover lamb (Luke 7) if he knew it was in violation with the word of God... I think not

And Jesus broke bread not lamb with his disciples.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt-offerings to your sacrifices and eat ye the flesh. For I spoke not to your fathers, and I commanded them not, in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning the matter of burnt-offerings and sacrifices. But this thing I commanded them, saying: Hearken to my voice, and I will be your God and you shall be my people. And walk ye in all the way that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear: but walked in their own will and in the perversity of their wicked heart, and went backward and not forward, From the day that their fathers came out of the land of Egypt even to this day. And I have sent to you all my servants the prophets from day to day, rising up early and sending.
