I have always been a Jon Jay fan, but adding him as a coach will have about the same effect as hiring a new chef for the Titanic.
Good moves By the Cardinals bringing Jay back into The organization and welcome our new hitting coach Brent Brown to St Louis
I am happy now this team can get going 😊
I've already written off '25, and had pretty much already written off '26, too. But with the new hires already, I'm beginning to think there might be a glimmer of hope for '26, at least as far as a winning record goes. We still have to wait and see what moves are made this offseason, but it looks like the org is indeed moving in the right direction.
Sounds like the new hitting instructor fell into the same bad habits as Gorman. Thinking he may just be the voice Nolan will listen to. Also hearing that he keeps it simple. Happy to hear that. Wishing the best for this new instructor and Gorman.
Great. Now don't let Mo be involved in any important decisions.
Indeed. I keep hoping to hear that he’s going on a year long retirement cruise. At least keep him away from a microphone.
Have him go find Yadi... That should keep him busy for quite some time.

16:16 it's not like the Mariners got better without the "offensive coordinator." They ended firing the Manager too last this year.
Always loved Willie but he is 66 so time to cut back I understand hope Jon can help the outfielders and help the team in base running
I’m going to ask a different question, a different inspiration today:
What if Moz wanted to try and staff the minor leagues with more coaches and the DeWitts said no?
IDK. Love Skip, cannot imagine how he took that roster to the postseason and while available, they keep OM.
@@ScottyPeabody I've talked about that before, Dewitt is who I largely have blamed for allowing them to fall behind on player development if the resources weren't being offered
@@bschaeffer12 It was Mo's job to tell Dewitt how bad the minor league was getting.....Imo......Mo thought he could just put band aid's on the major league roster and just keep on going with his great management of the major league roster.....IN HIS CRAZY MIND........
👍 👍
I love the approach from the new hitting coach. Knowing the situation, not just always swinging for the fences. I think we have been missing that.
The guy was fired in Seattle because the players couldn’t hit.
@@georgesouthwick7000 I see the negative data but I like his approach and Skip had good things to say. The future will be the proof.
@@georgesouthwick7000 I don't care about that. Those players sucked. If Skip gave a thumbs up to Brown, then I trust Skips judgement.
another sub-par hitting coach, who hasn't done anything in his own MLB career.
and a reunion tour for Jon Jay... that should probably generate enthusiasm for Jon Jay bobblehead night.
Until we get a Ryan Ludwick or Matt Holliday type hitting coach, that had MLB success, i'm not buying in.
Sorry, i'm just not excited about the Card's moves.
The hitting coach hasn't had success.
I am happy now this team can get going 😊
