I would like to congratulate the East St. Louis High Schools 2016 undefeated State Championship football team. I hope a few of the players take advantage if their college scholarships and graduate and make a good life for themselves.

I️ make food deliveries in ESTL all the time. Was very nervous my first few routes but was always met with nice people. Yes it’s a town in a bad state but don’t judge a book by its cover. You won’t find trouble if you’re not looking for it.

CharlieBo313, I studied geography at a large midwestern university for five years and American urban geography was a big part of my studies. Your videos of daily everyday life in these neighborhoods are a brilliant snapshot of the realities of urban life in the U.S. Thanks for all you do. I have become hooked on your videos. You do a great job, sir.

Miss Kitty's Saloon Strip Club in Washington Park East St.Louis Illinois kings Hwy @ I-64 There was a cute blonde white chick and a cute sexy black chick I nick named Chocolate & Vanilla we used to have lots of fun one week I brought 12'000 $$ and spent 8'000 with them we had a whole lots of fun . Raven she worked at Miss Kitty's also she was like 5'2" sexy and wild it was so much fun because it's only a 1 hour flight from Minnesota to St.Louis Missouri I could zoom back and forth weekends or even be back home in Minnesota in bed by midnight in 24 hr trips . You should have made a right on N 24th and followed by a quick left onto N 25th and continued till the fork in the road and made a right onto N 26th. N 26th becomes Caseyville Ave then continued up till you get to Kingshighway and made a left into the Washington park area. Which is one of the roughest areas in East st Louis along side Caseyville and Alorton. Would of been a better video of you would have just went the opposite way you did in the begging of the video on MIssouri Ave. Through the city center then south near Bond, Converse, Tudor and Piggottt into the pits. Hell a drive down the ruins of E Broadway would've been awesome. I'm not bashing your video btw i'm just stating there is way more of the east side you should've shown.
You should make a video of you driving through Johnny DeShields and the Rompzz

You people are so full of it. You can see the guy riding around, that there's almost no one out, but kids playing. ESL crime is a big by-product of STL. Yeah, they sell drugs and fight, etc...., but no one gets into trouble unless you seek it out - trying to buy drugs and looking for hookers.
You get what you deserve in those cases.
The fact is if you don't bother the people you won't get jacked or robbed or anything else. My grandparents live on Converse and 29th, and there's never any trouble there. In the 70's the biggest crime problem was biker gangs using it as a rumble spot, especially the park off Bond Avenue (Virginia Park?). Also Buster Wortman and Blackmon were running the last of the city into the ground back then.
ESL crime rate is particularLy high for it's size, but those numbers are not extrapolated for city size. That is why the percentage are so much higher than for larger cities. The crime rate in a place of 8 million+ like in New York allows for a better diffusing of crime percentages when compared to a city of 30.000 like in ESL.
TAKE MY WORD YOU'LL GET JACKED IN ANY OF THE FIVE BOROUGHS OF NEW YORK LONG BEFORE ANYTHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU IN EAST ST. LOUIS.

      I would say
      1) Detroit
      2) Gary, IN
      3) E. st Louis
First of all all three are really bad. Really not a fare comparison because all of these cities are in Different size categories, E St Louis is a really small town. Gary , IN is a medium size city, and Detroit is a large city. What a lot of people don't understand is even per capita rates don't tell the whole story. In some years E st Louis has a higher crime rate than Detroit in some categories. But I always tell people if you have a city with 25 people and 5 of those people get killed that city would have the highest murder rate in the country per capita. But would you really compare that city with Detroit, or Chicago ? That's the best way I can explain how per capita can be decieving.

This is East Saint Louis? Like, it's shitty and run down, but I've honestly seen way worse neighborhoods in parts of Chicago than here, a city that's supposedly 4 times deadlier. It looks no where near as bad as I was lead to believe.

East Saint Louis is poor and run and has a high crime rate but it's not worse than Chicago. Per Capita is deceiving because smaller cities always rank high because they don't have large enough decent areas to bring the average down. If you look at the crime rates per zip code Chicago and Detroit have several neighborhoods on it along with several other large cities. Places like Camden NJ, and East St Louis were'nt on there which means they don't have the worst neighborhoods. NYC actually has neighborhoods worst than East Saint Louis, but it will never make the list.

people can always say nuke this town---you have big towns that are a mess--when you have crooked people running things and brain washed people keep putting the crooks in office--cities go down- I was raised here and here is where I still live here and it is not the most dangerous city to live in--
