I've made several baby blankets by this pattern. I've also made several where I made the blocks but ommitted the flower center and just made it solid.

This tutorial is a lifesaver! A crochet designer used this motif for a cardigan but i couldnt understand it at all. This helps me understand her pattern even more! Thanks so much!

This is my absolute favorite blanket to make for babies. I use sport weight yarn. I use Anything from multicolored skeins to solids to alternating between 3 different colors changing with the pattern. I’ve lost count of how many I’ve made.

What size crochet hook do you use with sport weight? 3.75mm? 4? Just curious. I was thinking about using sport weight myself.

I love this pattern. I have made countless baby blankets from this pattern. Some solid and some with two colors. This is a great summer weight blanket and it works for a boy or girl and works up quickly. As I understand it the dragonfly blanket design comes from this idea. I always do the dragonfly in the round, I need to see how this one works up in the round.

This is just delightful. I've been relying on c2c as a go to for baby blankets, but have also been wanting a change. I do like this pattern and the history of it. Plus, I've binged on CtM more than once, and my fondness for the show makes me like it all the more. Thanks for this tutorial, Mikey.

Hey hey 👋 Mikey, I just wanted to say a huge thank you 🙏 for taking the time and putting this pattern together and then posting it. As a massive fan of ‘Call the Midwife’, I have been looking for this pattern for several years but was unsuccessful.
I am on my 4th blanket since you posted this pattern, I am totally 💯 hooked on it.
Keep up the great 👍 work,

Thank you for sharing this wonderful pattern. I really enjoyed making it. I used it to make rectangles with the 16+6 size. I am very busy but enjoy crochet so making the rectangles x 8 was so easy especially with your diagram and explanations. Now have to join up everything and then do the border. I'm so glad you do the charts. I find that when I get stuck in the wording of the pattern the chart usually bails me out. As a fairly new crocheter sometimes I have to read a pattern 3 or 4 times before I actually understand it.

    What a nice blanket.
I'd rather like to buy or be given than crocheting it by myself. Or I might be interested in that pattern as knitting using two sticks... what to call? slipped my mind.

Are your stitches counts off? You might have accidentally skipped a stitch or advanced a stitch too early. I cannot tell from a message. To see your work.
