If he did that for a neighbor imagine what he have done for his own kids if he has children. He might be a good parent and a good human being. Happy father's day of course if you have kid! 💙
Yea the main reason people dont like it is cause depending on the state a trespasser can still sue if they get hurt. I seen people cut through a yard fall and break their leg drunk. This way years ago. I didnt actually see it but that's what happened and then they sued my neighbors which is the yard they cut through. I have also seen on the news burglars get hurt going in someones house and sue and win. Do you now understand why people are rude about people being on their property. The laws need to stop favoring these people.
@@germ4613 Yeah, I completely understand your point. However, I'm not talking about the law. Im talking about the kindness of that person. Of course, he could talk to the child's parents to stop the kid getting in his drive way but he did not. So, I suppose the man knows the laws as well as you and what he is doing. 🤷♀️
@@germ4613 True .lol even Though I am one of those people that cut through others' yards I wouldn't sue anyone if I broke my leg. I would try to get myself up and out of there. No , robber or criminal should be able to sue because they shouldn't be there to begin with. Even if you shoot his kneecap and he is hobbled for life . The constitution does say we have a right to bear arms .
You know what is truly SHOCKING about this video? Is a parent actually has their child outside getting EXERCISE and not just plopping them in front of a video game.
I feel that the laws should be changed. There is to much stupid lawsuit tying up the court system. My opinion is to many lazy people who want money but don't want to have a honest job to get it. As long as no property is damaged, let kids have fun. At least he is not staring at a idiot box or playing on a phone. Wish I could ride a bike as graceful as him (I don't know if I could ride one ,it's been 15 years since I was on one and I was very woobely then.) . I wish we had more people like this home owner👍👍👍

@@anklebiter9116 I find it bizarre that everyone's so happy about this. Why isn't the Mother telling her kid to stay off other people's property? That's not being a party-pooper, that's stopping a child growing up to be a lawbreaker!
@@TonyEnglandUK Dude, he's 3, and just being a little kid. oh sure, you can make the argument that even 3-year-olds are destructive and don't listen or whatever, but the driveway's owner has watched the footage serval times and all the kid is doing is have one, count it ONE, pass on his flat driveway. He's not lingering. So his mother is doing *something* right even if the kid isn't completely staying off.
Now stop focusing on the bad things in life. There's plenty and they demand our attention like a parasite. People watching this don't want to think about the boy's mother's parenting, got it? Because there is no problem, so stop fishing for one even if that's not your intention because that's what you're doing. Focusing on the wrong thing.

My elderly neighbor let me help him plant his garden when I was probably 8-9 years old. Taught me all the odd ways he planted things and why. He’s long deceased, his garden is now grown over. But I plant a garden annually and think of him. Be kind to children. This is the world worth fighting for.
I like to think he’s smiling every year you plant your garden.
Hollywood stereotypes elders as pedophilic towards kids. When in reality, almost all of them are excellent human beings matured by experience
That’s cool, R.I.P.🙏❤️
When I was little the family next door moved and a grumpy single man moved in. He never spoke to anyone. Next thing there was all this digging in his garden and he had a pond put in. We used to see him standing out there with a torch watching his fish in the middle of the night. I wanted to see the fish so one day I saw him and asked if I could look at them. He lifted me over the fence (small fence) and showed me the fish, then let me feed them...from then on I was his little friend who came to feed the fish with him. He wasn't grumpy at all, he was just not very social. 40 years later and his kindness is making me smile all over again!

Sometimes you just have to let the kids be kids and the adults enjoy a moment of childhood fun
This is proof that one little thing can change someone’s life. Mad respect to the neighbor who did this. He gave this kid, and a bunch more people, a new memory. Although they might not remember it forever, I’m sure it was fun while it lasted.
And all it took was a little bit of chalk and a big heart. 🥹 so cheesy, but sometimes cheese is rill good.

Remembering where you come from applies to more than just wealth. It can help understand your child better as everyone was a kid before, but not everyone is a parent before.

@@SniffHeinkel you get what you give. Maybe if you were nice to those kids, they'd be more courteous toward you and your dog.
@@SniffHeinkel when I was a kid (I'm 37), my friends and I rode our bikes through parking lots (churches, apartments, businesses, etc.) all the time as that was safer than being out on the street, and kept us from harassing pedestrians on sidewalks. On the other hand, doesn't it seem like a basic courtesy to your neighbors, to train your dog not to bark whenever someone's outside? I'm a dog lover with a german shepherd, but I'd think that would annoy people, especially in an apartment building.

I think most neighbors understand how the law here works. If any of those people get hurt on that property, guess who’s to blame. Now even more so him as he’s literally inviting people onto his property. Does it suck yea but that’s the REALITY of it. It’s just for your own pocket books sake why take that risk. Updated video to follow. "Parents sue man who made a "bicycle path" on his driveway after their child fell on the path and was hurt". Don't think it can't happen. Forget about the trespassing defense, it would not work.

I thought it was gonna be like putting rocks or something all over the driveway, but this, this is just too wholesome. I thought he was annoyed but he just wanted the kid to have a racetrack on HIS driveway. Everyone needs people like this.
True, I also thought it's gonna be something petty, but I loved how it turned out.
I genuinely thought he was using the chalk to map out a path where he was gonna carve out the concrete and replace it with wet cement that the kid would fall into and possibly permanently destroy his bike.

RUclips helps humanity again.
@@omgbutterbee7978 Yes! Those same people who report kids with lemonade stands.
I was so worried this was going to be an angry homeowner. We need more people like this in the world.
"Get off my lawn, you damn kids, with your wheelboards, saltwater taffy, and pocketphones!"
You had us on the first half… i’m not gonna lie…. lol
@@dieZauberfloete I mean it’s his property. They are trespassing on it. He can do what he wants.👍🏻
The thing is if the kid hurts himself on the property the parents can sue him for damages
@@dieZauberfloete you clearly have zero idea how American law works if you truthfully believe that. Please don’t tell me you’re this stupid.
Love this. And thank you to the man that created it. What joy you brought to that young boy.
I've seen this before, makes me feel so good. Thank you. If it comes up again for me, I'm sure I'll watch it again. Mad respect to the homeowner!
When we were kids...back in the 60's...we rode on neighbors drives and no one thought a thing about it. What a great memory for this little one and all the others coming by. ❤️
Such simpler days
Such a great time to be a child
My 2nd coming is NOW!!!
hahaha
Have a good one sister!!
We could ride our dirt bikes in the farmers fields, after harvest and before planting! Some would leave a path around the planted fields for us to use. We never read through a planted crop!
@@stevehamman4465 Those were my golden years...👍
We never even thought of wearing helmets or any other safety gear, maybe suffered a few cuts and bruises but still survived.
Back in the days where people didn't rip each others heads off over empty space and people weren't worried about lawyers over a scraped knee
Man, we need more shit like this in general. It's sucks how frequently we forget that every single other person on this planet is, in fact, another human being. A little empathy would go a long way these days.
love your content
Unfortunately if more people did this then one of them would eventually get sued. There are so many scumbags out there. If a kid fell off his bike on a sharp turn and got hurt, some parents would fault the guy who made the course. I don’t agree with that, but it’s the reality…
It’s not that we forget really, I know for example when I live with my father we have a hill on the side of the house kids would sled down, and my dad would always scream at the kids to leave it alone. He was always worried and telling me one of these days someone’s gonna get hurt and the sue us, and it always scared him. I thought it was ridiculous but there are people out there like that.
You're talking like stuff like this never happens except for the few times someone records and uploads it. The world isn't a horrible place where nice acts are 1 in a million, they happen every day. Often, and unrecorded.
@@soonerborn7603 I'm really looking forward that it won't go that way.
I'm a teenager who is still trying to know what these social things are about
This video finally popped up again. Omg, you sir are the maker of memories! God bless you , your family and your dreams, may they always come true!
I think we all enjoyed it as much as you and the child. What is wrong with America. That is exactly the way life should be !!! Need more people like you doing things for others. Awesome job !!!
Holy crap this one took me by surprise. I’m an old man who’s seen more than I’d like to admit to, but this brought me to tears. I can’t explain why, all I know is we need more people like this in the world. Thank you for the great vid.
Exactly.. same here..
God bless you!!! You have a sweet heart
My initial thought (based on the title and 1st 30seconds) was the worst and I was ready to slate him, shame on me... time for self-reflection I think! This guy is an inspiration! I have 2 young kids and am guilty of sometimes forgetting how the smallest of things can make a big difference for a kid.... great video!
I hope that you will be able to find more videos like this, I’ll watch everyone
Thank You Sir
@@bluethird you didn’t hear the cringe ‘music’? It’s a giveaway. People crying over this are quite tragic really.
We need more humans like this. Imagine the great world would be for other humans and animals. Props Sir. MANY PROPS!
We all need to strive to be more like him. Just a little bit of kindness can change the world.
💜✌💯
Be that human
Imagine how nice our communities could be if we stopped importing the third world by the millions every year and displacing ourselves and destroying social cohesion.
And how many kids would go missing. There are a lot of people not wired right out there now.🤷
Small acts of kindness mean so much and are so much easier than finding hate in people you don't even know.
Stuff like this chokes me up and gives me a shred of hope for mankind. God bless.
This is one of the kindest things I’ve seen in a while. In a hate filled world …this was great! Thanks for doing it and for posting it🤗
I agree. This was so touching. Love it!
The world isn't hate filled. 🥰
😎
I was expecting this to be more like the owner putting tacks down or a wire fence. How I smiled when he made the track. Human faith restored. Wish he was my neighbour. Peace. ✌️✌️
it is cool but the world is not hate filled only if you let the words and actions of a small group allow the hate, try seeing the positive
I was afraid this was going to be a "get off my lawn" story, but this is such a cool gesture on the part of the homeowner. Kudos to him.
Me too! I was like what's wrong with him being on the driveway for a second? This was very sweet
Still love this story. My man tried to make this kid's ride a little cooler, and did something amazing.
True, the boy will remember this all his life 😊 Awesome gift!
This is overwhelmingly wholesome, especially during a time where most of the news that comes out is something terrible. What an incredible man!
Lol news rooms over exaggerate and make things sound much worse than they are to get your attention. Most people live for the drama, they want fear. In case you didn't notice this doesn't have a million views.
@@leaf2180 yeah 19 kids dead in a mass shooting for example was an example of highly exaggerated news…
Dude everyone knows how “sensationalism” works but being in denial is so much worse than being afraid of something that is actually happening.
Oh & the video has 800k views on a 7k subs channel.
That’s not bad at all. Give it time & it will get over a million.

That, right there, shows good father material, and proof of being a decent normal human being.
When i saw this almost 2 years back, i was like "haha, cool". Now as a father it almost made me cry.
Having children changes everything. Nice you were able to see it both ways.
you dont have to be a father to cry

Almost? LOL. Give it a few more years, you'll be balling your eyes out.

It’s proves the notion that being fatherly doesn’t necessarily have to be just with your own kids.
Truly uplifting story and nicely captured on video.

That is so wonderful. The world needs more people like that man and, for that matter, the parent who took the three year old for a bike ride every day.
Now that is a true loving human being! 🙏✝️🙏✝️❤️
Beautiful little detail some might miss… the homeowner initially laid out the track in the same pattern as the route the little boy was already taking. There’s a lot of reasons he may have done this but my guess is to make it easier for him the first time around and start him off in his comfort zone. This is how all of us should treat each other. This simple act is a great lesson for all humankind.
I disagree. For growth they must be forced out of their comfort zone.
Take off your kid gloves.
The boy will thank you for it when he's older.
@@seeharvester It’s clear from the video the homeowner made the “track” more complex later. But I did say “to make it easier for him the first time”. If he had started him with a more difficult pattern he was unfamiliar with, he might have gotten hurt or discouraged. So he eased him into it. And look how much better he was at riding his bike by the end.

You can't coddle the boy Matty.
Lenient parents become 'enablers' as their children grow.
That's precisely what's wrong with todays youth.
@@seeharvester It baffles me that anyone could enter the comments section of a wholesome and beautiful video like this, and find negatives to nitpick. I’m not going to label you. I’m not going to attack you. And I’m not going to debate this with you because that seems to be exactly what you were hoping for. I know from current struggles I’m dealing with the world is a really tough place. I hope at some point you can find a way to see that even despite that, joy and positivity are all around you… it’s up to you if you choose to see it. Best wishes.
@@seeharvester you realize the guy making the track isn't the parent, right? He's a neighbor demonstrating the value of community in a way even a child (and every other commenter except you) can understand.
This made me cry. It's good to see kids cherished and encouraged to be kids & having fun. It's good to see strangers caring for each other and take part in a kid's sense of play. It's cool adults on bike taking part in it too. Young at heart, and amusing themselves. Driveway owner, you know the value of things. Wish there are more ppl like u in the world.

How lovely to see someone embrace the joy of the child having a large space to cycle on, rather than taking umbrage and telling the child to clear off. Looks like the adults had fun with it too!
The little boy will always remember this. As he gets older he will realize what a kind gesture he got every day from a neighbor
Yeah and remember that trespassing is okay. Why is it okay for a kid to do this but an adult gets the cops called?
