The mechanism is brilliant...But to use 3 feet! That blew my mind! Great for uneven floors. Brilliantly simple idea that I never would have thought of. Thanks for sharing!
Hey jimmy, another fantastic build, you really do have a wealth of knowledge and share it all with us for free. I really appreciate that 👍🏻 just a quick hint, be careful grinding all your welds back to flush, if you don't get enough heat into your welds for decent penetration of the parent metal you will run the risk of them cracking especially if they are load bearing or subject to excess vibrations or movement. Keep up the great work mate.
This is a big video. Very intelligent design. If there was an award for most creative build by any youtube maker, this video would win it this year. You'll defo be talking about this build on the podcast.
Fantastic! My dad had an old Lincoln Torpedo arc welder that he mounted on an old cast iron pallet truck it weighed a ton and he rigged up similar feet when the handle was raised the feet would flip up so the "Monster" welder wouldn't roll around like an out of control drunk driver...very clever Mr Diresta...very clever indeed!
Hey jimmy I'm a 15 year old kid from Indiana and I make things I love your videos I just think you are a huge inspiration to me and evryting you do is awesome I made a key card like yours for my house and my workshop I carry an ice pick everywhere now (I'm trying to get one of yours but there always sold out ) I just think you are awesome and I'd like to thank you for making videos
little suggestion with vacuum hose and welding... You might be sucking the mig gas too fast off, and ruining the welds, unless you use super much gas, which would possibly effect optimal arc when welding :)
+jimmydiresta hello Jimmy that you make and very clever is à pleasure of looking at tour video children adores trie to reproduce somme one of your création it acknowledge tant is not always tout gain ils fact 10 years that i am in the restoration of house some one of your creation m'y bien used for much tout advance a great safety of France remains like Hou board and good continuation ps.your hands is gold
Agreed. Jimmy, if you put a wide cone on the end of the vac hose you can reduce the intake velocity while widening the effective "grasp" of the device. I would also suggest that you mount it on an "anglepoise" type device over the work space, most weld fumes go upwards, carried on hot air currents.
Jimmy stop making videos my head is about to explode , No matter how much experience I have , there is always something to learn and you teach it so well..........Thanks Bro
Jimmy, you are something else. I feel almost like I'm watching one of David Copperdields new illusions when I watch your new videos. Just an amazing craftsman and an artistic mind like no other. Keep it up and I hope you're well.
I make tool carts, but I usually just weld casters with brakes on them to angle iron and call it good. I'll have to give this a shot. Thanks for posting the cut sheet!
So here I am, near 2 hours after falling back into a Diresta hole. Iv been in Jimmy rehab for a while it seems. But by god did I get hooked again after the first video hit!! Binge watching is the best! It's all just so facinating to see the mundane become mesmerising in its making. The thoughts, the skill, the art and even the maths behind it comes to life. Seeing the end result is so satisfying for the viewer. I can't imagine how that goes for you. If being strung out on you is wrong Diresta, I don't wanna be right. Iv appreciated art from afar and always loved the construction of anything over the years. but I never actually wanted a piece of someone's work. I'm a collector of nothing and no one. Even my iTunes is feeble. But I'm gonna get something you've made or yet to in the next few years Jimmy, somehow. Even if it's only a shelf. I dont care, I need that Diresta logo in my sitting room!! Il design the rest of my place around it ;) I live in Dublin Ireland so can't just pop by to put in an order :/ Where there's a will...
You know, If I had fancy tools like that I could do this no problem. I'd just have to sell them first then get a price from you to make it... Another inspiration, thank you!
What a timing.. i really hoped that i would have seen this video month ago, when i was planning my 3D printer table and trying to figure how to lock it in place, but have it in wheels for easier movement...I wish this low profile idea would have come to my head back then, now i got basic locking rollers that ain't that great to be honest.. Superb job as usual Jimmy!
Thanks...I have an OEM rolling stand for my bandsaw that worked great on the concrete garage floor in CA, but I now need something that can handle the uneven plank floor of my upstate NY garage. Something like this with a bit more ground clearance and 6" wheels might work!
Nicely designed and built. Was wondering if not using the casters attached to the frame but if attaching the casters to the steel extending feet for mobility would work. Would you anticipate any drawbacks in building that way.
That is cool, that is a very convenient idea. Easy move the band saw to a more roomy work spot when needed, then put it away when done. I wander what other power tools could be adapted in that way? Some times it's a pain to have to get help to move a heavy power tool just to get full use of it, then get it back out of the way.
Jimmy, could you please do a video on welding? And the suitability and applications of the different types...? Perhaps one day. Would much appreciate it man. I love your work!
I really enjoyed watching this one, the quick and repetitive action of starting up the welder was great. No idea why but was fun to watch :). Cheers from Australia! Matt.
I really like the 3 points of cantact for no wobbles. I was watching thinking about how the feet weren't adjustable. then at the end it was all made clear. nice build. (and vid)
Always learn something new watching you make stuff. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing, big love from Sint Maarten. Then you visited your sister, I saw a picture from Sint Maarten in her shop.
Another great project! I feel that somehow my NOT having a bandsaw is holding me back. I think I've seen you cut just about everything with a bandsaw. Is there a project you haven't used the bandsaw? Maybe that vampire spike table?
Very nice! I have no idea why 162 thumbs down, surely they can't be jealous or think they can do it so much better. It was a quick build and I'm sure Jimmy could have made fancier.
Nice vid but anyone who has had to deal with welded on castors ten years later *knows* that is a mistake. They all tend to cack themselves at the same time and you find yourself grinding them off endlessly. Better to just bolt them on like they're supposed to and then unbolt and replace.
The mechanism is brilliant...But to use 3 feet! That blew my mind! Great for uneven floors. Brilliantly simple idea that I never would have thought of. Thanks for sharing!

My shop needs this soooo bad. I guess it's time to dig out my mig an get to practicing. This is the best design I've seen for a mobile base.
BRO!!! I really like this build! I don't see how this can not be adapted for most tools in the shop. Great Idea, Great build!
I swear, every time you upload a video it makes me wish I had 1/16th the creativity and skills you do.

Just watched my first youtube ad in its entirety before this video played. It was a 13min BMW action movie commercial and it was freakin awesome.

Six callers ahead of us Jimmy.

You, I like you
JIMMY DIRESTA = HERO.
Saw every single video, all awesome! From the netherlands!

Definitely better than what you could get in the store by far... Thumbs up!!👍🏻
When only the best will do...Diresta !!!!! Well done, Awesome build
Jimmy stop making videos my head is about to explode , No matter how much experience I have , there is always something to learn and you teach it so well..........Thanks Bro
NOW THIS is why I love jimmy, always making cool shit like this ...keep it up jimmy....never stop making🔨📐🛠🔧🗝🔩
Jimmy, you are something else. I feel almost like I'm watching one of David Copperdields new illusions when I watch your new videos. Just an amazing craftsman and an artistic mind like no other. Keep it up and I hope you're well.
as usual the most talented guy on youtube that was brill
JImmy, sooooo smart. Particularly like the three feet to avoid the wobbles. Great to see you thinking beyond. I great example to follow!
That fast paced repeating video of you turning on the the welding tool really reminded me of Requiem For a Dream. Very nice video as always
Well done mate, one of the better machinery bases I have seen made. A helluva lot better than the four crappy wheels my bandsaw is on.
One of those thing you did not know you needed until you have it. Now you will move the bandsaw all the time
I make tool carts, but I usually just weld casters with brakes on them to angle iron and call it good. I'll have to give this a shot. Thanks for posting the cut sheet!
Cannot wait until you hit 1,000,000 subscribers bc it is definitely well deserved.
I want to see how the design process came about. It's genius i tells ya!
love it. Great work Jimmy.
I like the little start up sequence before each time you started welding. Laughed every time !! SEMPER FI
sweet stand i built one kinda like this one best thing for a small shop when your equipment/tools can be moved around with ease.
Brilliant design and execution. Well done, again Jimmy.
Esse cara é Gênio!!! Congratulations Diresta. From Brazil
That's an amazing design, Jimmy. You really wowed me with this one 👏👏👏

Another inspirational build. love your work Jimmy
i always get so tired of you videos. i like that :D
Very smart idea Mr. Diresta. You my friend are a genius. I’m gonna do that to my rolling toolbox
Love the way you dealt with the stability issue
Diresta for Prez! At least something will get done.
Make America Make Again?
Diresta would LITERALLY rebuild America. Lol.

Great work Jimmy and makes it so much easier to move around the shop 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Simply chic hardware metal. Truck turned out great. A Huge Like!
Thanks...I have an OEM rolling stand for my bandsaw that worked great on the concrete garage floor in CA, but I now need something that can handle the uneven plank floor of my upstate NY garage. Something like this with a bit more ground clearance and 6" wheels might work!
Amazing! And your design is genius. Seriously, congratulations Jimmy!
I like the little montage every single time you used the welder.
A project that will pay and pay. One of the good ones.
Nicely designed and built. Was wondering if not using the casters attached to the frame but if attaching the casters to the steel extending feet for mobility would work. Would you anticipate any drawbacks in building that way.

One of your best yet, Jimmy!
great project Jimmy! love the welder setup sequence
Jimmy, could you please do a video on welding? And the suitability and applications of the different types...? Perhaps one day. Would much appreciate it man.
I love your work!
Nice Jimmy! I like how you did three legs to prevent wobble. - Jim
Interesting, I didn't notice that.
Damn I didnt noticed that either! Had to go back and look again!
No floor is perfect, so a tripod makes sense. I wish all bar and restaurant tables were 3-footed.
Brilliant design Jimmy!
I really enjoyed watching this one, the quick and repetitive action of starting up the welder was great. No idea why but was fun to watch :). Cheers from Australia! Matt.
Love the little "Oh wow!" haahaha :D
Very smart idea with the three feet, stops the weeble wobble!
I really like the 3 points of cantact for no wobbles. I was watching thinking about how the feet weren't adjustable. then at the end it was all made clear. nice build. (and vid)
Jimmy Diresta! Nice tool truck and as others have stated 3 feet better than 4 for an uneven floor.
Love it
Excellent build Jimmy.
Very cool project, well done Jimmy 🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏
Two DiResta uploads in one day? Is it Christmas already?
Great design! Much more durable than the units being sold in woodworking outlets with bolt together frames.
Incredible, as always. We really enjoyed that.
Wow. Very well thought out. Good stuff all around. Thanks for sharing
Couldn't wait to see this video since you teased it. Great work, love the idea will have to look for the magazine.
Very clever solution man this might be something I build when I get my bandsaw.
Exactly what I'm planning on building soon! Thanks for the video, love the inspiration you give me!
Desde argentina🇦🇷, felicitaciones x tu creatividad, sigue así. Gracias x enseñar tu magia👍🏾
cara...sua vontade de fazer acontecer é incrível, cada trabalho mais interessante que o outro! Parabéns.
Don't know why, but everytime you jumpcutted back to the welder, I found it amusing.
Awesome video, amazing how you come up with the designs! Incredible!
Really cool solution for this machine. Love the method!now you need to make one for you planner
Always learn something new watching you make stuff. Really enjoy your videos.
Thanks for sharing, big love from Sint Maarten.
Then you visited your sister, I saw a picture from Sint Maarten in her shop.
Just Brilliant ! I made a vid recently on making a guard for my bandsaw, it needs a table now too, this vid has given me some inspiration. Thanks
Really cool solution for this machine. Love the method!
Awesome! Mechanism works great, gotta make working in a small space so much more efficient
Nice job!! I like the clip you used before you weld every time
Really, really nice design and execution.
Awesome build man. Very inspiring.
Nice design Jimmy.
And your welding skills have gone way up too.
I have GOT to get me one of those fume extractors! Good work Jimmy!
Sono sempre io ai una grande passione e ci metti tanta inventiva beato te che fai quello che ti piace Diresta 🔧🔨🪚🪛⚙️🔩🧰
Great build Jimmy.
Simple and very useful. Thanks for sharing Jimmy
I might have to copy this idea. Love how it was done.
Wow !!!! You delivered!!!
Super cool jimmy!!!!!! I have a store bought for my table saw and love it!! 👊🏻
nice work Diresta!
just made one for my drill press from timber but not as strong like yours.👍
jimmy! porque sólo se afirma sobre tres patas y no cuatro?
muy buen proyecto!
saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Another great project! I feel that somehow my NOT having a bandsaw is holding me back. I think I've seen you cut just about everything with a bandsaw. Is there a project you haven't used the bandsaw? Maybe that vampire spike table?
If I had to describe jimmy diresta videos in one word. It'd be -Bandsaw.
dahveed284 if you have to question it then yes. it will soon be one of your favorite tools. I want an old Bridgeport mill 🤔
The spray paint was a neat way to make your cut lines on the angle iron!
One of the coolest things ever!
che gran bel lavoro.......... sei un genio Jimmy lasciatelo dire . . . .
Just curious. Why so many little spot welds instead of continuous bead?
Grat job Jimmy
Very nice! I have no idea why 162 thumbs down, surely they can't be jealous or think they can do it so much better. It was a quick build and I'm sure Jimmy could have made fancier.
Great design...turned up very nice. 👌👌
I have to make this!!! Can't wait.
Wow that's dream... Now Willie can put it any side he want's... :D
instaBlaster...
Brilliant. thanks for sharing. You also gave me an idea for my porta band that sits in the tool locker.
Nice vid but anyone who has had to deal with welded on castors ten years later *knows* that is a mistake. They all tend to cack themselves at the same time and you find yourself grinding them off endlessly. Better to just bolt them on like they're supposed to and then unbolt and replace.
Very clever using only three feet... it'll never wobble, anywhere on the floor.
That's a Nick Offerman secret. Tables with 3 legs. :)
high center of gravity + heavy equipment + 3 leg base + humans = injury
injury > woble
simple mathematics
h0rr0r100 worry about yourself.
hey i am not saying anything.... i am just saying
h0rr0r100 I don't think thats how math works
