I had the honor of being interviewed on KRON 4 to discuss the current challenges and concerns surrounding reproductive rights and In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Today, the Southern Baptist Convention formally stated that it opposes IVF. With this news, I am hearing from many fertility patients, who are feeling numb, frustrated, and scared. They're worried about the future of their fertility treatments, especially those from states where clinics are shutting down, especially in states like Alabama.
In the interview, I shared insights on how IVF works and the emotional impact these developments are having on couples trying to start a family. Despite some of the recent headlines around some groups opposing IVF, it's important to note that over 80% of Americans support IVF as a viable option for infertile couples.
I know that it's very unsettling to have this kind of news hit, especially if you are a fertility patient.
