  • With no prior experience I just dived in and SUCCESSFULLY disassembled my newly acquired Nissan RB30 bottom end... Pistons, rods, crank and girdle are now lying on my bench ready to be measured up!
Engines really ARE just lego for adults!

Great video - given me the confidence to try it out myself for my RB30.

Crank keyway for timing gear looks pretty flogged. Will need to tidy that up before reassembly, maybe get it sorted if you end up putting a collar on for oil pump drive.

Yes mate agreed. I have a new video coming shortly where my machinist talks about fixing up the crank, and we will be doing the collar anyway so may as well fix up what I've already got!

Hmmm best find another rb30, the crank woodruff location is cracked, would cost more to repair then buy another block.

I have a new video coming shortly where my machinist talks about fixing up the crank, and we will be doing the collar anyway so may as well fix up what I've already got! Especially when considering the price of 30 blocks is going up all the time

@@StreetSyndicate yeah true they are definitely not fifty bucks anymore.
      Looking forward to the progress.
