Until now, leftists had free reign to say anything they wanted, but conservatives were castigated as racists, misogynists, conspiracy theorists, and bigots for posting facts that went counter to the leftist mindset, and agenda.
Post a video of a Medical researcher who says that covid wasn't as dangerous as made out to be, and you were warned, and then banned if you transgressed again.
You want the most famous example?
President Trump. Might as well include Alex Jones, since he was banned as well. The list goes on.
The curious thing is the number of conservative viewpoints that were squelched, and are flooding back now that Twitter can't suppress their posting of information.

There were, and still are, loads of Doctors who post facts diametrically opposed to what we were told about covid. Plenty has come out in the last few years to show the truth of the matter.. When the people pushing a narrative don't follow their own mandates,, you can be sure the is an ulterior motive. I don't buy dogs that won't hunt.
Explain why the large majority of those banned held conservative points of view. Meanwhile liberal pundits are given free rein to post whatever they wish. The major social media giants are notoriously liberal in outlook.
What is to fear about information?
CNN flat out created a false narrative about Joe Rogan using Ivermectin. They outright lied about it. (Why?) It's efficacy is proven. It's very inexpensive. It's been in major use for decades. It's harmless compared to so many other drugs used to cure other illnesses.
Trump didn't incite squat. I've heard the same speeches as you. He also didn't incite people to storm the Capitol.
It's up to you to use your head. I can't force you to see the truth of things, but I will say this; Free speech includes insults. Hurting someone's feelings isn't violence. That's progressive leftist victimhood looking for a taker.
You can't ban information you deem to be false and expect people to trust you. You put the truth out there, explain why it's the truth, and let people come to their own concludion. Truth comes out on top in the end if you do this. Saying that you're trying to protect the people, or the truth by banning free speech never works out., especially when events point towards an agenda, real or imagined. We live in an information age.
It has the good and the bad, just like everything else.
