Definitely one of the better screen printing information channels on YT. I’m completely new to screen printing but I’m a photographer so I understand the b/w developing process which helps a lot with understanding emulsions exposure etc. This vid on mesh count is so interesting and informative. Thanks mate!

Excellent primer on common mesh use. We print a lot of low cure that is thicker and tend toward the
    mesh that has the greatest open area percentage. 110, 128, 140, LX180, 230, 272.

That was our go to for many years. We stepped up to 195. Saves ink, emulsion, flash time, and softer print. But to each his own. :)

Nice video. I use Paint Shop Pro for my images, there is no option for LPI. Do you know what to use in PSP to calculate the dot size depending on the mesh count? Thanx for the info, This is for printing halftones.

what about garment selection? what brand/blend/or style of garment do you recommend for spot process or cmyk process? regular 100%cotton? 50/50 blends? do some garments work better than others for process printing?

    • @mikeydesignssilkscreen473

All of them work. You just have to be sure you're using a low cure ink for poly / blends. The smoother the shirt, or knit, the better the print, but you can get great results with a flattening screen.
