So remarkably quiet for such a large plane and with 4 engines. Really smooth as well
All jets a pretty quiet sitting forward of the engines.

Its not even a full power, usually for the takeoff is being used flex mode so its like 85% of a power

They don’t have to be full thrust if the runway is long enough and the the plane is not at its maximum takeoff weight. Airlines don’t want to waste fuel.

The Rolls Royce Trent 900 turbofan engine is remarkably quiet. Long live the King of the Skies, the Airbus a380.
Most of Emirates' A380s use the GP7000, they have a different front fan cone pattern but not visible in the video.

i believe it is the quietest aircraft, pilots have to play white noise while they sleep because its so quiet

@@art__3842 usually planes dont take off with full power since it is bad for the engines. They use a derate to keep engine wear low. Also, it's likely they were using near full-power, and it's just very quite due to the design of the a380's cabin.

I traveled in Airbus and Boeing planes and noticed the quietness of the Airbus engines compared to the noise of the Boeing engines and their beautiful sound🤩
Airbus pioneered the zero splice technology which does reduce noise by a lot. Way more impactful than the 787 serrated cowling.
So much work goes into maintaining these planes. Like a flying city

I've flown on the A380 (Emirates) between JFK and Malpensa (Milan) four times. Taking off is so smooth and quiet that it's like floating away on a magic carpet. One could easily sleep through a departure without waking.

I still remember my first A380 experience back when they were very new and Emirates had just started using them. This was my first thought too: the silent, smooth takeoff. None of the rattle of the other planes. You could barely tell you were taking off.
