My hypothesis: I think foam may be more of a flexible hold so it withstands stretching, fluffing and general manipulation better. The cast on the gel side probably broke immediately hence the frizz
I would usually agree! I completely get what you're saying... But I didn't even have a gel cast before stretching with this gel so I don't think it applies here. I was surprised with the results

Hey Abbie! Great results!😍 My hairstylist uses Innersense on my hair. She told me the trick with their I Create Hold gel is applying more product than water, since it's mostly made of water anyways, you can't go wrong with more product and you'll get a hard hold. When she did my hair about a week or so ago, she styled my hair with their I Create Lift foam and the I Create Hold Gel. I'm on Day 11 hair and my hair still has amazing definition, there isn't a hard crunch anymore, but my hair is still very defined!! Love their products!
I did yeah. One pump of foam wouldnt do anything for my hair. And if I did any more gel then it would be too much and flake. So I just did the amount of each that I felt would get the best results.
well, I got it wrong - the foam side looks great! Have you tried the Aveda nutriplenish line? Wasn't keen on the leave in conditioner but the intense hydration masque was pretty good for my hair (VERY similar curl pattern, arguably the same as yours). But they smell so damn good - almost good enough to buy for that reason alone 😆
This was such an informative review! Question… My hair is very dry, do you think the Quiet Calm Curl Control would be good under the gel or foam to provide more hydration and softness?
I'd say that's similar to my hair texture (although I don't really use the hair typing system). Across my platforms I share loads of content about styling, washing and management of my hair. So scroll through some of my existing content if you haven't already :) you may find some tips there. Or, if you have any more specific things you could ask I'm more than happy to do my best to help answer here
Hiya Abbie, I've never used Gel or Foams on my hair before. My son bought some of the gel in the pink tub (can't remember what it's called, sorry) but it's been sitting around for over a year now! It's still good/usable but I just can't be bothered but I've seen some really nice results on the curls on other curly hair and know I could probably get good definition but it's a lot of work 😂😂 when I've used a product that has given me good definition I tell myself 'if only you'd used the gel)!! Maybe on my next wash I'll give it a go! Seeing how your hair has reacted to both the gel and foam, I think, especially at the back you've got nicer curls with the foam. My problem areas are at the back and crown of my hair. I don't understand how curly hair has definition in certain places 😂 it's so annoying 😂 my mum has curly hair and it's beautiful and I keep telling her her hair isn't the same as mine because I've got some black hair too (she doesn't get it)! And her hair stays defined longer 🤗 never mind 😂 it's nice to know I'm not alone in the struggles 😂 looking beautiful as always 🥰
aw give the gel a go! I'd be interested to know which gel it is? Finding the right products is all about trial and error. So I know it may feel like a big effort, but once you've tried out a load of products and finally find a few that work for you, all of that effort will be worth it!
Wow!
I was NOT expecting that!!!
I’m glad I watched this bc now I can’t wait to use mine!!

I think so too. My heart sank when she went in with a comb immediately after stretching the hair, breaking down the cast and the curls

This video is tempting me, to get my hair back to curly. Your hair is so cool.
yay!

amazing! Thanks for the tips. I'll try more product next time xx
Love the foam side
surprisingly good right!!
What about using them together?? 😻
definitely going to give that a go too!
Your hair’s grown so much! So lovely
so much!! I'm on a mission to see how long I can get it
I think you used more foam than the gel. Only 1 pump gel and like 3 pumps of the foam. Foam side looks better 😊

Oheemmmgeee FOAM! Lovely results.

I have tried some of the Aveda Nutriplenish line, yeah! It was a while ago but I remember liking them :)
I was on TikTok earlier watching your I create curl memory review 😍. I have both ICH and ICD and I love ICH already so I want to try them together
yeah im thinking of trying the foam and the gel together to see how that turns out!

My hair type is 3c/4a, struggling to maintain moisture and learning how to take care of it properly, any advice?

@@AbbieCurls I'll let you know and I will 😊❤
I hate the way foam applies as well. It feels rough and I feel like eventually you will tear up your strands more than you would with something else.
right!!
Can you do a Holy Curls video?
I'll look into it yeah! I've used their products years ago and loved them!
