I don't ever make comments on videos, but the moment he started mentioning how he was in shock that people are singing about the goodness of God left me speechless. And then proceeding to specifically ask why are people singing about his goodness in the midst of the issues of war and tragedy going on around the world, shows a lot about what determines his heart to worship. His emphasis on what a "horrible year" it was seems like such a shallow heart of worship to me. I know I can't be one to talk much since I'm only 20 years old and have only been doing/involved in worship for 3 years, but basing our gratitude and praise according to the circumstances that are going on around us is not worship at all. Even if the world seems to be "falling apart" all around us, we should be singing of His goodness through the midst of chaos. The sacrifice He made on the cross thousands of years ago is the sole reason why we worship. His goodness IS the fact that He died for us. He took on the most brutal punishment in recorded human history to save his. That ALONE should be why we we praise Him for his goodness. Not because of the circumstances going on in our lives or around the world.

Hello Justin, thanks for your comment BUT a shallow and effortless heart of worship is when we worship from a comfortable and privileged place, a place where most of us find ourselves in, a place where singing of the goodness of God is the easiest thing to do, a place where most Evangelicals in North America find themselves in. If you want to qualify something as shallow, I would say that is it, a shallow praise, shallow faith.
I agree with you, I believe God is good. But my critique is that shallowness you mention. Is to point out the place from where most of us are singing about the goodness of God compared to other Christians around the world who proclaim God's goodness from a place of chaos, death, and peril.
The other thing is that the way in which we sing of the goodness of God is very simplistic, egocentric, and un-nuanced...but that is a conversation for another time.
      Peace to you

You're approaching the bride of Christ, trying to tell them the way they worship is wrong, and you throw a "shit" in there? Imagine those who don't know or follow Jesus hearing that, what's the point of changing for Jesus if we still talk like the world?

You’ve never read one Psalm, I suggest studying Psalms and get to know God through David, who was “a man after Gods own heart”! God said that it’s ignorance or the lack of knowledge that His people perish…….check the Bible out, very enlightening!

Hello again 👋 ! Please help me understand what exactly is it that makes you think that I am ignorant about the Psalms and the Bible? Let’s have a civilized conversation about it. What comment of mine made you think that this was the case?

wooow...Which comments do you think I will need ot explain the most to the Creator? I am sincerely curious.. Because I, on the other hand, am expecting a celestial HI 5 for this, not just from God, but from Peter and the whole bunch.

I come from a witchcraft background. Your suggestion to send a Wickham good luck to your wife is highly offensive. “Luck” has absolutely NOTHING to do with the true God. And then; when you used the word, “Shit”, i knew that your message was not from the HOLY God. Please repent my friend. I love you and He loves you even more. Please repent. ✝️❤️

Thanks for your kind comment. This is an internal joke that my wife and I have... no need to worry about that as much. And I also love you my friend... so much indeed that if I had your phone number I would also send you a Wickam so you could have a good day 🤗😄.
      Peace to you

Why don't you write your own songs instead of having issues or critics with the songs you mentioned?

    • @OctavioMoss
      @OctavioMoss  9 месяцев назад

Totally. I wouldn't have made that critique if I wouldn't have written songs myself...that would be hypocritical. I have written well over 100 songs ... here are the last ones:

@@lynnekelley7545 mean? I am genuinely curious as to which comment you found mean (please do let me know). Most of what I did was point out what was lacking and how this songs mirror the North American church. My critique was not directed to these songwriters necessarily but to local churches and the North American church at large

I dont understand why "Christians" are busy making videos critisising other christians music, would u rather want the church to sing songs glorifying the devil or glorifying God?
The reason why the church is in a mess is because it left its first love, how did they leave it, by critizing other christians and exposing them, instead of worshipping God and loving other people, thats how you know if people love God, is if they love other people, how do u know you love other people, by not doing what u doing on this video but taking time going on your knees and praying for those you see are on the wrong track, which im about to do for you.
Lets go back to our first love.
Jesus dont care about this, He looks at the heart of all man.

The only 2 options are not either eating caviar or eating horse crap...there are a plethora of great option in between. We should always aspire to do better in every way
Nobody "left their first love" by criticizing. Every person should both give and receive criticism, that is a must, just like you are doing here with your comment, you are criticizing me, and kudos to you for doing it with respect. - that does not mean that you are evil or that you have "left your first love". We need to be able to do this amongst ourselves, but do this in love... And that is what I did, at least I'd like to believe I did.
      Peace to you
