Thomas , your style of music is simply brilliant. There are millions of good composers but few that can really pass emotions through their compositions. You are my absolute favorite and biggest inspiration, thank you for the amazing music you bring to this world.

My wife and I had our first dance to the vocal version of this at our wedding in 2017. This will always be one the most important songs of my life. I look forward to showing this to my children, and their children. It is my view that Thomas is the most important composer of this century! Where words fail, music speaks. Thomas writes novels with this song. An absolute masterpiece through and through...

this song woke me out of a sound sleep. I had put a bunch of TSFH songs on a playlist, and some of them I hadn't heard before, and I fell asleep. when this song came on, I started gradually hearing it in my sleep. it was pulling my attention farther and farther away from sleep and closer to focus and then at around 2:20 that part of the song played and it woke me up, and the tears just fell. not because of a memory, or a particular thought it provoked, but purely because of the indescribable beauty in the sound. I am autistic, so music and sound is the most important thing in my life, and Ive heard a LOT of it, but this song, and all other versions of it equally, are the most beautiful sound ive ever hear in my life. ive never heard anything like it. I also had a lot of horrible things happen in my life, so its rare that I can find ANYTHING that actually makes me feel ok. but this song, this ONE..SONG... it helps my depression, and im legit serious, stops my autism meltdowns. and it makes me HAPPY. which is something I thought as impossible. I truly believe that Thomas bergersen is the god of music

I hope you read this reply after so many years. I think I truly can understand what this music means to you. It´s this unlimited beauty, this pure feeling of losing connection to this world whilst having never lived so intense before, it´s like you have more of true existence in one of these moments than in days of your other life. And this is the terrible thing about this world, you may see in your deepest soul: that so few people can see what you can see and their lives are cold and sens-less. But I also can tell you that there are more people like you than you think. You won´t ever find someone exactly like you, but even someone different can see the same things like you in this world, feel the same feelings and somehow understand you. But in such a personal depth any harm or misunderstanding can be unbelievable painful (That´s why most people live a shallow life in my opinion). And here´s my final advice: You can´t talk to your emotions and tell them to be happy or something. Your emotions are like a small child and the only thing that can help them is accepting them and giving them the hold and the love a small child needs. You even hug yourself. Just stay trustworthy to your emotions. Best wishes and music makes you braver.

Fantastically wonderful song. When I listen, I see a young man given an old compass on a chain. Throughout his life he checks it every time there is doubt about the pathways and choices of life. When he's in school, graduates, joins the army, meets his future wife, house, children, grandchildren, the death of his beloved, memories, and finally now an old man, he checks the compass one last time.... and hands it to his great grandson. Engraved on the back are the words, "Let wisdom guide your Journey".

I absolutely adore this song, with the slow buildup and the way the trumpets are introduced after the piano. It's simply brilliant in the way it is layered, the way it begins to have a sort of drive behind the song. At first it is slow and majestic, but then it becomes like this great journey with all sorts of pocket adventures as the melody is passed around.

Normally, when a movie is made, the score is written to support the scenes and plot of the movie. But when I listend to this kind of music, I can close my eyes and the music makes its own movie.

I just got this album today, found the CD in the post box as I returned home. Best 30€ I've spent in a long time. The quality is amazing, every track sounds fuller and livelier. Enjoy this playlist, guys, but I can only recommend: If you like this album and you are lucky enough to have a few extra-bucks in your pocket, spend them for Miracles. It's a blockbuster-movie for your ears.

What to guide a moral heart?
What to bring a greater start?
Does one would feel a tragic loss,
Or born to full with painful toss?
How the world be thrive with tale,
Like common sea of winded vale.
Yet pages blank of future hold,
For stories end and concluding old.

Cedric Scorch I commend you on using proper rhymes! =3 That's sometimes difficult to do, especially nowadays when authors, poets, and song writers do not seriously take it into account. Don't believe me? Look up any 'famous' modern pop songs and see if the consonants truly match up on the ends. One or two things I would recommend is to be more careful with how many syllables are in each line, because the 7-syllable and 8-syllable lines are a little skewed in the second half, and the very last line counts nine syllables. Make sure you keep to a reliable - or at least consistent - pattern; it helps with the flow of reading. Also, this may be just me, but the message of the poem doesn't seem too clear.... Poetry is art, and even if people can 'feel' the sentiment being portrayed, there are literals who will not be able to understand the meaning behind the words.
I am in no way saying that you should accommodate to every type of reader, and if there are readers here who understand it: that's great! It is not my intention to take away from that; I'm simply advising you, for future reference, to keep in mind more than the words you are trying to rhyme. Writing well and creating fine poetry takes a good amount of work; sometimes _(and I speak from experience)_ one must sacrifice the phrasing in order to adequately supply a clear meaning _and_ fit in a proper rhyme. Usually would-be poets give off the opposite effect in that they write a beautiful message that most everyone can connect to (or at least deduct the basic theme) but consistently break the rules of the art; some are clueless that it takes work to write good-quality poetry while others choose to be lazy and get praised by the simpleminded or unschooled masses who claim it to be the best thing since Water Theme Parks. Note that you do not have to follow my advice; I'm just offering it up out there for anyone who is interested. Keep writing! =)
