Hi im not quite sure if you can help me , but this video helped a lot but can you help me with this question “Why should "The Crucible" be taught in school today?”. This would mean a lot to me if you helped
It should be studied in school today first and foremost because much like the late 17th century when the Salem witch-hunt occurred, and much like the 1950's when the Cold War was taking place and people were made to fear communists as thought they were witches, we are now in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, which again challenges us to remain conscious of how power is exercised by the government and ensure that FEAR and HYSTERIA are not exploited so that we lose our ability to think critically and act with integrity (especially when that means going against the community, like Proctor does).
I had this as my first assignment in English this helped a lot thank you!
