I never heard before about them. Depeche Mode knows more than 90% in the World from young to old. For me Ultravox is a wonderful band, but Depeche Mode is great as well and is more famous. Ultravoxs music is so amazing the fact that they still add bass and guitar to make it not totally synthesized is amazing. Billy is really talented and so is Warren on the drums and Midge playing the guitar and singing? They all have amazing stage presence. I just love them a lot they mean a lot to me. Ultravox forever!!!
Midge Ure and Paul Young are my favourite everything about them is just😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Midges voice his guitar playing stage presence his smile could make any one melt. Same with Paul both extremely sexy. The looks the voices and both seem so sweet and funny I wish I was born back then to was born in 1984.
I was 10 when I went to the Quartet Tour at Hammersmith. Youngest there and never forget being at the front watching Midge hit this harmonics on his grey Ibanez guitar...thatw as it had to learn guitar..his best guitar work

Yes, can't get this thought out of my mind - just how alien they must've appeared in those days of Journey/Styx/REO/Toto etc, hair metal and R&B. Even among their peers from the New British Invasion they were quite apart, so very atmospheric and out of this world. It's just a miracle they managed to get something going in the US of that time!

There must be more to love than this. As a teenager of the 80's Ultravox are burned into my memory and emotions in a way no other band has managed.

Actually it may have been early 1983. I may be confusing it with the Simple Minds show which was fall 1982.

Ultravox and Depeche Mode was the best synthbands in the early 80's.
For me, OMD blew them both away when I watched them all in the early to mid 80's.
