In 1986 when The Mission premiered I was a student at a Jesuit school. For those not familiar with the movie: it's about a Jesuit missionary in South America. Twice per year we were asked to go to Confession, and they would always play this music to help us think about our sins before we saw the priest. I remember being almost in tears once. The priest must have thought I had committed a horrible crime. But it was the music ! Thanks for sharing this beautiful performance. The organ fits the oboe very well.
