    This is the first tutorial of this checkered pattern that I fully understand!!! I'd love to see a tartan pattern for a scarf

    Almost halfway done and only started yesterday! I choose black & blue as my colour combo. Thanks for the great tutorial, it was super easy to get the hang of it! Looking forward to giving this as a gift for xmas next week! 🥰

    That is GENIUS for picking up the dropped color at 21:59 - I've always hated carrying yarn because of that line. 💜

    When I do 45 chains at the beginning, then do 1 more and start the first double crochet in the 3rd stitch, how can I have even squares in the end? (15 white, 15 green, 15 white)??

    Choosing size yarn is always so difficult for me😞 it doesnt help either that theres different types of yarn like soft cotton/ milk cotton/ combed cotton/ acrylic, etc. Im just a beginner so it doesnt make it easier but does anyone have any advice/tips on this? I could order the right size yarn (dk/worsted) but soft cotton and combed cotton yarns are still so different regardless being the same size. Idk😭 help its confusing me. I dont feel confident with the stuff i make bcos of this

      Bit late to this question but
      - acrylic
      Usually cheaper but might stretch over time
      Less friendly to the skin
      (Can tell it’s acrylic when there is some small fluffy tiny thread sticking out)
      I use it for non-clothing item like accessories
      [ stretch over time, for example crocheting a bag handle and over time it will become longer than before ]
      -cotton
      Don’t stretch over time
      Friendly to the skin
      Bit pricier
      (Milk cotton is an unofficial name for even softer cotton yarn so might be nice to make clothes out of it because it’s more comfy
      Just be aware of the suggested hook size in the yarn
      (It gives u a sense of how thick and big the yarn will be)
      If u are looking to make clothing which she taught on this channel, suggested 3-4 hook size yarn is good
      Haven’t used worsted but I always buy DK when I make clothing

    sieht suuuper schön aus und möchte heute einen schal für meinen Freund anfangen 🥺 kann man das auch mit single stitches machen? hast du da ein tutorial das du empfielst? mir gefällt das muster von single stitches etwas besser für mein projekt als double stitches😬💛

    • @Momoolein
      @Momoolein Год назад

      Sollte auch gehen . Bedenke aber bitte das du dann vermutlich vielleicht mehr Garn benötigst weil es enger ist. Der Schal wird auch schwerer bzw Fester werden nach meiner Erfahrung.also lieber etwas lockerer häkeln! :)

    Not beginner friendly. You did not move slowly through the stitches or explain where you are putting your needle into..

    • @brittnyfisher7373
      @brittnyfisher7373 10 месяцев назад +29

      She linked videos for how to do the chain and stitches she talked about. So you need extreme basic skills and then start here. I’ve only been crocheting a month and I can follow! Just be patient with yourself and start with single color projects and learn a couple stitches! 🩵

    • @relatableusername
      @relatableusername 9 месяцев назад +6

      That's so beginner friendly... what else did you need?
      You should already have the basic stitches mastered. Like, slip knot, chains? Double crochet?
      Plus, she provided you with videos on how to do the scarf...
