Appreciate the shoutout! Godzilla 2014 is actually a new monster derived from 2000, he’s much larger, with his own moveset and more grapple-heavy playstyle. Godzilla 1962 is a skin for Showa Godzilla. The movesets are divided by eras!

No, there was not another demo release. There was a small V2 release, but it was just for people to get a feel for how the gameplay was being reworked.
Both Showa Godzilla and Legendary Godzilla are 2 separate fighters from 2000 & Heisei Godzilla btw. Which means 64/62 (Showa already has 2 different skins) have unique moves and abilties from the other 2 Godzillas, same with legendary as GojiRex has commented
The pixelated Godzilla fighting game is callled “Godzilla tag team fighting”
We recently had Cr1tical discover and cover STEM the previous month and showed interest in the game! though not much it did put a spot light on the fan game for a lil while!

A kaiju fan game I wish people would talk about is "Godzilla - Ultraman - Gamera!!!" (or simply GUG) it is such a fantastic fan game, I used to play it all the time, I never get bored of it, I even already tried to win the game, many times, without losing any extra life (it is quite hard to do it). It is basically a kaiju beat'em up. I swear if the game can be modded and if I knew how to code/program, I would totally add playable characters, like Birdon.
That was a great game. I made a lets play way back in 2016

The devs are probably being under the radar to avoid Toho going after them until release, honestly. Thanks for bringing G Fighter to my attention, though. I had NO idea this existed and I am so happy it does.
I would love some cut Godzilla Unleashed monsters like kong, cloverfield, zilla, etc
I def cant wait for STEM but i must admit im not as excited as i used to be. Its mostly my fault for having too high expectations but it seems like theyre limites to editing existing skeletons to make " new kaiju" which means its unlikely we'll get the really weird monsters that i was hoping for... Ebirah, manda, stuff like that
Thank you for covering STEM and placing it back to its well-deserved spotlight! Despite not being part of Nastysoft, the design philosophy of this game is changing dramatically with each passing day and love how it's all coalescing in this masterstroke of a game! I personally love the combos a lot and how they play out with the new characters adding onto the hype train. Thank you :D
The first game kind of reminds me of Street fighter. Hopefully it has some multiplayer or online battle feature. And I hope it's on mobile and on fighting game systems.

I've been watching Save The Earth Melee for a long time and I'm dying to play it! hopefully when the project is done its available on PlayStation or PC i cant wait to give it a try!
I do know it will not be on consoles but PC yes only available through a PS2 emulator.

No, I'd rather stick to save the earth and Melee style. This mod is where it's at! Unleashed just isn't it for me.

How are you supposed to play these games? I'd love to try them, but I won't hold my breath for anything. Even community projects have been backstabbing similar to what corporations have done. Fallout The Frontier comes to mind. Kaiju Combat was an old promise from Simon Strange that was abandoned. No negativity intended, but it's important to be wary about promises like these. Some good examples on the other hand can come from black ops 3 on Steam with them remaking old zombie maps that are better than the original but still don't function as well either. Still, I'd love to play these games however I can. The last good Godzilla game was Save the Earth. Unleashed would've been the best had it not been for the Wii controls, and Godzilla PS4 is $300 for what is honestly a mediocre product.

That game is extremely grindy
Omniverse was just a disappointment to me all around, I don't recommend playing it unless you're dying for a new Godzilla game.
