Taryn, thank you for making shopping for clothes fun. I need a friend like you to go with me shopping instead of my husband who says everything is ok, unless the price tag is high. So, I’m learning from you that shopping for plus sizes doesn’t limit me to Walmart or Land Bryant!

The Levi's look really cute.
My favorite were the Slink cutoffs. They were very flattering on you. To justify the cost, I would rather have only a couple of pairs that I really love.

I received my favorite pair of jean shorts from Stitch Fix by Vigoss. They are amazing! SOOO comfy and just basically perfect! They were $45 as well. SO happy with them and want to try more from this brand. I think the Levis looked great on you! I haven't tried anything from them in quite some time because everytime I do, nothing fits right. I would not pay that price for the Good American shorts but they did look good. Thanks for another great video!

I really like the first two pairs, even though the mom shorts were a little big I bet if you washed and dried them in hot water and on high heat they would shrink. And for the good American shorts I would just cut that spot that was driving you nuts because the other side isn’t like that. All around I thought they all looked good on you but the first two pairs honestly were my favorite🥰
Whoa! I had no idea Good American was so expensive. I can justify that price for jeans, but not shorts, especially with the exposed underwear and weird hanging side part. The funny thing is I think the $12 Rue21 shorts were the most fun and flattering on you.This summer, I discovered the a.n.a. Women's 6" Denim Short at JC Penney. They are almost sold out, but they still have size 20 and 22 in stock for $19.99. They are my all time fave, basic denim shorts for my apple shape.

I love good American but I would be worried about the distressing coming apart after wash and wear. I definitely think you should size down in the iso’s shorts and I would love to see an update with the size that fits you better

Yep $12 pair is the absolute winner for price, style and how great you looked in them. The Good American distressing was way over the top, think having been attacked by a pack of wild dogs. Sorry I know you love them. This was a fun video hopefully you can return what you didn’t love!

Taryn, have you tried the ev1 jean shorts by Ellen at Walmart? They are so comfy for me, and they have a cute detail on the side seams. They come in White as well. I wear a 22 usually, but heard these ran a bit big so I got a size 20. You might be able to get an 18. They have stretch, you can roll or unroll them, I think they might be mom jeans but I’m not sure, but the waistline is comfy, and I love the message inside them!

I like the Good American but... the price 😬 and the weird flappy thing on the side. The Slink shorts are super cute and might buy them myself if I can bring myself the pay $59 for shorts
The Good American shorts are cute however they are way too expensive I could never. I love Levi shorts. Torrid is one of my favorite however their shorts can be super short which I don’t want. Vigoss and Silver brands also make amazing jeans and shorts!

The third my favorite on you so far. However my biggest issue with shorts is riding up. Does anyone know which are best for thick thighs. My legs rub and I am not trying to pull shorts down all day.
Taren the Good American jeans in your previous video that were $175 looked AMAZING on you. The Good American jean shorts for $139 were awful in my honest opinion. Not awful on you specifically, just awful in general. I would send them back for the $139 credit, and invest the extra $36 to get the $175 jeans that looked incredible!

I like the third pair and the Levi okay now I like the $12 ones those are the best price shorts since I'm on a fixed income there's no way I would spend a hundred something on a pair of shorts I love you top and you look really pretty thank you for sharing this video
I liked the Slink and Rue 21 on you best. I don't like the top of my legs so I don't wear shorts that short. However they look great on you! Love your style

Omg, i tried on 2 pairs of Good American shorts last weekend just to see what the hype was all about, and 1 pair ran a size to big and the other probably 2 sizes too big.. Like, i could have pulled them up without unzipping them 😩 cute, but disappointing for the price

I love the first pair of shorts. The second shorts are too expensive and too distressed. I like the third shorts. I like the fourth shorts. Tha final pair is too short. I love the Rue 21 shorts.
Don't you fear with all the distressing on the Good American shorts that they will just disintegrate in the laundry? That would stink for they cost. The Slink ones were cute. Wasn't crazy about the Levi's. I think the Torrid ones were too short, too. So I guess the Slink ones were my favorite! And I like the rue 21 pair, as well. And I would like to see the ASOS ones in the right size.

Do you have Dressbarn stores near you? They have a good plus size selection at affordable prices. Bummer that they are all closing nationwide by the end of the year. But between now and then I’m willing to bet they’ll have some awesome sales!

$140 for shorts is crazy. The Levi brand was my least favorite. They did nothing for you and weren't even cute.

Rue 21 all the way! The expensive ones actually look the cheapest made. I imagine you have tons of clothes so I think sticking to a lower price point for something you may have several pairs of is the best way to go.
PS. The Rue 21 looked very good, also.

The Marshall's in my town had lots of Levi plus jean shorts in stock this season. Maybe they have them at others if anyone is interested 🙂

I don't like the Good American ones at all and for the price point, no way. My fave was the last pair from Rue 21. My fave denim shorts I've had were a $5 pair on clearance from Reitman's. Definitely got my money's worth out of them! Haha!
I agree with your top to bottom rating. Those Good Americans were so flattering on you, although I’d cut that one weird piece too😆 The Levi’s weren’t so great. Kind of looked like you cut off a pair of men’s jeans. I’d keep the Good American and Slink for sure!

The curvy $59 pair with the side slit were my favorites on you. I hate the Good American pair and not because of the price....just a weird uneven cut on the leg like you mentioned and too much distressing......not even flattering. The Rue 21 are awesome.....and over $100 less!!!!

I liked the Levi's only if they were rolled the bottoms, otherwise looks like you cut your own jeans.

I am going against what everyone said. LEVI my choice. WHY? Yes they flattered you. Roll them up if you want. Remember classic lasts. I was a nut with clothes in my time. Remember, distressed yeek will go out of style. If must have buy at reasonable price. I use to hate when I bought something and would go out of style and there went my money. Quality is good at a reasonable price. But I know you are frugal. I have been regular size and plus all what I said fits everyone.
Slink look the best on you, but in all honesty, I do not get the distressing. $139? Why not go to Goodwill and distress your own!
