oh man, Selena was, and still is, ICONIC. It cannot be said enough, that Selena broke that barrier. If Selena was not killed, I truly believe the entire landscape of the American and Latin music industries would be completely different right now.

Fun fact!! She did not have in ears at this concert and still sounded amazing with a whole band behind her, she probably couldn’t even hear herself and still killed it!!

I was there at all three of her Houston Rodeo concerts. They were all sold out and I had to buy SRO tickets because she sold out so fast. I stood for about 3-5 hours awaiting her concert. I will Th bother friends stood 3 deep and enjoyed every bit of her concert. It saddens me
where she leaves her audience saying that she will see us all very soon...a few weeks later she was no longer with us.

Man this brought me back when I was like 12 or 13 yrs old, I saw her live 4 times , 2 in Monterrey, Mexico, 1 in San Antonio and I actually saw this concert on the Astrodome live!! That was amazing...Para siempre Selena!!

Im actually from her hometown of Lake Jackson Texas. My mom had the privilege to see her live and she said it was one of the most amazing beautiful experience ever. And she was more beautiful in person, y bien humilde!

I’m a little late to the party. But to answer your question “Has anyone seen Selena live/concert?” Yes I have. I saw her in Toledo, Ohio on April 15,1994 one day before her 23rd birthday. It was amazing yet bittersweet because she did not live to celebrate her 24th birthday. Some fans bought her a birthday cake and we all surrounded her singing Happy Birthday. She was murdered on March 31, 1995. She was absolutely incredible. That iconic outfit amongst others are on display in the Selena Museum in Corpus Christi. I met her widow Chris Perez in LA the night before her star was revealed right in front of the Capitol Records building. It was very emotional and it was said that it was one of the largest crowd of people ever for the unveiling. ❤
I saw Selena in person in Monterrey, Mexico I was awwww Gorgeous Woman humble she was in her Big Bertha Bus she barely gotten married with Chris Perez gorgeous couple ❤️❤️❤️

The song Como La Flor is from her album called “Entre A Mi Mundo” released in 1992, the song was one of her first biggest hit here in the U.S. also in Mexico. Another popular song from that album is La Carcacha. She won her first Grammy in 1994 from her album called “Live Selena”. The following year in 1995, she had her last concert in February with a record breaking crowd of more than 65,000 at the Houston Astrodom, and about a month later on March 31st, she was shot and killed by her fan club president Yolanda Saldivar (two weeks shy of her 24th birthday, she would have turned 24). She was working on her first English album and though she didn’t complete it, it was released about 5 months later posthumosly.

She was SUCH and angel. She told
Kids and fans of hers to stay in school and work hard, she had traditional family values and wanted to have kids some day. I honestly don’t think she would have cared that much for the world that way it is today but would have still been tolerant and loving.
She designed alot of her own outfits and this one in particular was supposed to be like a throw back to the 70s with the bell bottoms. Yes her manager Yolanda who managed her fan club was picketing the money fans were sending her to get shirts and merch. Selena went to confront her about it and that’s when she got killed.
I still live in San Diego andn had hope of traveling to Texas to see her perform and was on the look out for when her next shows would be so that I see her!
It gives me chills watching the younger generations that I knew would learn of her, love her so much, and then have to find out she’s gone as seeing the young ones she’s a tear for her too even if they were not alive at the time. She will be remembered forever.
I know someone who went to one of concerned BEFORE this one and even bought some of her merch and supposedly she sounds even better live!! 😊

This was her last televised concert. She did three at the same stadium. It's a family band 'Selena y Los Dinos. Her brother AB on base guitar, her husband Chris on Lead guitar (white guitar), and her sister Suzette on drums except at the '95 concert. I think she was out with a sprained ankle. Btw, At the trial it couldn't be proven whether it was an accident or not but the DA tried to prove it was intentional. Bulistic showed the type of gun used in the murder the trigger could not be pulled back easily. You couldn't just fire the gun right away. In other words YS had time to think before she pulled the trigger. Witnesses claimed to have heard YS call SELENA a 'b' while SELENA was trying to get away from her. YS was a pyscho obscessive nut that when she feared losing SELENA she lost it. Shelley Lares dodged a bullet literally by not hiring that nut.

This concert at the Astrodome was only one month before she died, and this was her last recorded concert. I truly think that even if she had not been killed so young, she would have been possibly recognized as the greatest entertainer the U.S. has ever had. She was more than a star. By the way, the woman who shot her was convicted of murder. She claimed it was an accident, but nobody believed her.

Selena was the best singer she inspired a lot of singers and she died in 1995 because Yolanda Saldivar was stealing money from Selena’s fan club then there was a lot of problems with fans saying that they didn’t get anything of what they wanted or there money so then Selena dad found out and told Selena and so one day Selena went to go get some paper work that was still missing and then that day when she went selena wanted to end there friendship but Yolanda didn’t accept it and so Selena was about to leave until Yolanda didn’t wanted to lose Selena or didn’t want anything to end with there friendship so Yolanda shot Selena and the Selena went running to the office and that’s when she pass out and when she got to the hospital Selena passed away cuz she did not have much blood left... Rest In Peace queen 👑 April 16 1971 - March 31 1995 🕊🌹

Selena tuvo un problema en el cabello porque tiempo atras le hicieron un mal tratamiento, por eso se volvieron tan iconicas sus boinas y sombreros, pero tiempo despues Selena se gano a Mexico en Acapulco por su belleza y su cola de caballo y su cuerpo maravilloso, sin llegar al morbo claro!
Yo estuve en el Festival de Acapulco en el 93. Ella todavía no era tsn famosa pero cuando salió la gente se preguntaba: Y este bombón de dónde salió?...😂 Era mucho más hermosa en persona❤
