@@stephenbahrmarbles O rings 4 the win. Years ago when I lived in Florida some of my confounded washers left rust stains on my marbles. Stinking swamp air messing with my collection.😮 Later on in life I did some bartering with another collector. He saw some of the rust stains on my machine maids and swore they had been dug from a rust layer from the ground. The guy actually took every rust stain marble thinking they were dug marbles even though I tried to explain to him differently. Modern-day marble resellers always trying to work an angle to resell at a premium. One of my big struggles with machine is watching uneducated folks spend big money on modern-day jabos and megas thinking they are vintage. Even with all your great educational videos these modern-day Marvel's still slip me up regularly.

I just found the marbles I collected, found on and in the ground, when I was young. I'm learning to identify them then intend to sell . Most pre 1950 given the timeline I gathered them and who would have lost their marbles , right, around the farmyard back then.

Seeing as how I currently have the marbles in a couple red Solo cups since gathering them up off the lawn again I'm ok with parting ways . I've got tons of great memories no worries there. Awesome collection by the way

I collect antique bottles, have tens of thousands of dollars of them and have been collecting and digging for bottles for ten years. I finally dug up some German swirls earlier this week and Im obsessed with them now. The late 1800's to early 1900s pontiled swirl marbles are just so incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately, unlike bottles, there is scant information about marbles available online.

Seeing as the economy is about to completely collapse, I should start collecting marbles as they are overall much cheaper than bottles but equally as fascinating. What would be the least expensive yet desirable type of marble to begin collecting? I would prefer to collect marbles that are likely to go up in value, or at least hold their value over time. I'm thinking that marbles from the 50's and 60's are probably too common to ever be worth much. Thanks for the great videos!

I have found a rock Foundation buried in dirt as i been digging it out I found a clear glass marble. Its smaller and it has almost a pearl like shin to it sorta like carnival glass but it clear . Im trying to determine the age of the marble. It was a foot into the ground

Hi Michael, a marble like that , without any markings or patterns would be nearly impossible to identify 100% . If it’s super old , it could possibly be a Codd bottle marble.
