I have become a huge fan of Jons! I found him through his vlogs as well, primarily because I too love skiing! Nothing like being at the top of a mountain early on a fresh new day, crisp mountain breathed deeply into my lungs and push off into the speed and beauty!
There's a line in between arrogance and confidence, and he has it just perfect I believe I know this from competing in downhill mtb, alpine racing and freestyle comps and Jon has the mindset to excel in any of these sports... I think he's an inspiration not an arrogant fuck. And I've been looming for this song for aaages and I'm over the moon I've found it!
this vid gives me hope, I started as a racer and got annoyed that when it snowed, i was told i couldn't go skiing in the powder cos of injury risk. People like Jon Olsson are an inspiration that a crossover is more than possible :)
Being as good as he is takes both practice and love. If you don't love it, you will not be able to practice enough. Nor will you ever handle all the broken bones and still be able to come back again and again. Yes, it bones will break. I've never heard of anyone who can ski like him who hasnt had bad injuries
