    That’s not it. A pvalue is the prob of having the data or more extreme given that the null hypothesis is true.

      P-value is the probability of obtaining test results at least as extreme as the observed results, assuming the null hypothesis is true. It quantifies the evidence against the null hypothesis, with smaller p-values indicating stronger evidence that the null hypothesis may be false.

    Wait this is significance, usually defined by α in books I've used and examples I've seen. There's a different p-value used for ANOVA that my book does not bother explaining....I wonder why there's so little consistency in the labels of variables in statistics compared to other types of math
