I know this was just a weight test with the XT on there, but actually curious, what about powering a camera this size? I want to put an Alexa Classic on a Ronin 2 but it looks like the power plug would bump into the frame in this set up. With a smaller lens could you balance the camera forward more?
I am wondering how you balanced it with base plate given with ronin 2 , everybody here thinks that it requires some special baseplate any tutorial. And how you power your xt
Hi, quick question(s)! Did you power the camera with the R2’s power port? Which cable did you use and where did you get it? Thanks for the review btw, we are looking to try out the Alexa LF on the R2 but need to sort out the power supply.
Yes you can power the alexa XT using the R2 power port with a custom made cable. For the Alexa LF you need 24v power so you need to make a custom cable from the back of the R2 power module (it outputs 24v) going to the camera. Unfortunately we are not selling these cables at this time.
Thank you for the video. I am a user of the ronin 1 for 2 years, and i made lost of thinks with it. however i had lots of problems, dji didnt test the firmwares updates, so all the users had problems with their gimbals. Do you know if they will improve this things?, i mean the costumer service, because this is a big problem with this branch. i would like to see how is moving when you run with it, because its allways very shaky.
No comparison.... the TIlta gravity the pan arm was way to short. You quicly ran out of pan adjustment....Honestly I sold mine. Ronin 2 is the way to go.

Good video but if your reviewing a 38 Thousand dollar camera on a 7 thousand dollar gimbal I feel like the audio should be better, I get that they didn't buy the camera but still should be a little better audio, a lav mic isn't super expansive, even a shotgun mic would've sounded better.
Going to have to test this setup out. Thanks for sharing!

Ronin 2 is amazing. I highly recommend it.
I would like to know your opinion on R2 vs. Tilta Gravity in terms of price/performance?

wow ! its awesome. i have Ronin but after watching your video its very tempting to buy R2 but suggest me best light weight zoom (PL) to use with R2.
Angeniuex short zoom - optimo or rouge
Olá Pedro! Gostaria de saber mais sobre como calibra os motores e saber pra que ser cada opção de ajuste do ronin2.

Great video, Can you tell me the name of the plate you are using to mount the Alexa to theR2?
Just the mount plate that comes with the R2
Still looking for a good 15 lb gimbal for around $3k
Me too. Looked at the Tilta Gravity?
I know a guy selling a MoVI M15 for $1,700. PM me if interested.

Don’t buy anything from A1 tools or Alpha wheels as they provide no service or support once they update products. Horrible business model.
