Hi Patrick, I have a few questions for you with this tutorial, cause I failed at stage 1 lmfao Do you use PVC foam board for most of your wall? If so do you use the one with paper on it or just a plain one? Second is do you use water/ oil paint on the board? Or you can actually spray it? Do you prefer water or oil paint on PVC board? Many thanks for your answering
li angus first question, no without paper, mostly foam boards and it has to be foam board otherwise it would be hard to add details to it, a paper surface would just create sharp and weird textures, for example bricks, but I do stick a layer of wrapping paper on foam sometimes to create room wallpapers for indoor dios. Second answer, any paint will do or spray paint, when it comes to spray painting, as long as you are spraying it from a distance, and go light layers without damping the foam, nothing will happen, that goes for Styrofoam as well, and when it comes to paint, if you worry it won't stick, just spray a coat of topcoat to enforce it and u r done, good luck bro, hope my reply helps, good luck 😊👌🏼
Patrick Ohm I just bought some PVC foam board from China cause I can’t find any un-coated PVC foam in Hong Kong, the last time I cut the normal styrofoam the little bubbles just come off and the cutting edge just not like the effect you’ve done in your video, I guess it only works on PVC foam board is that right Patrick? Many thanks for your answering once again! Your a very nice RUclipsr with a lot of interacts wit your audiences
Patrick Ohm I just checked episode 22 out and man that’s quick and useful, I just regret that I threw away most of my styrofoam cause it didn’t give me the wall effect, damn I should’ve checked that video out
li angus hahahah yea I did the same before I researched a way how to do it, previously I was facing the same issues with Styrofoam as well, a real headache, I did try blue foam, but it's too expensive to work with and hard to find at the same time
Jordan Sabado actually I didn't use brown as I already spray painted with black and when orange hits the black, it somewhat turned into brown, so if u add brown into the mix, it's gonna be really dark
UGF well I do have another video regarding Styrofoam and how to paint it without damaging it, u can see how I do it, the foam I am using in this video is also hard for me to find as well and pricey at the same time
Allen Provenzano to be exact this is called a THP foam, or you also try XPS cream foam, either one, usually can't be found in stationary shops, more to art stores, which country are u from?
Patrick Ohm I’m from the United States. I don’t really have an art store near me but I do have a hobby lobby and a Home Depot. I also can’t seem to find the thp foam. Which I really need to make the sidewalk/curb where you raised the asphalt it in your other tutorial like you did.
Allen Provenzano ah I was about to tell u about home depot and hobby lobby since u r from the states, you are lucky that you can have easy access to XPS pink foams there, where I am from, only Styrofoam can be found, and I was lucky enough to found some THP foam, hmm OK I guess I understand your issue, its not the foam problem, u just need thinner slices of foam.. OK I am not too sure about what hobby lobby has, but I guess alternatives you can try is THP foam, if not, u try getting evergreen plastic plates, a little more pricier compared to foam but that does the job, or maybe one more sillier way, get some art paper, dampen the paper with PVA mixed with water and create your own thick layer of art card, hope that helps
Allen Provenzano good question bro, actually many asked me this question, actually it's simple, I use all sorts of spray, from cheap to expensive, and I noticed one thing, its not the paint or foam that causes the problem, it's the method and distance, try spraying further away and spray light coats and let it then dry then another layer and then repeat same process, u will notice that the paint will will stick to the foam nicely without any "foam eating" problems
It's not the styro that cheaper. It's your cutter. You need a new blade. In that way the cutting portion will become smooth and easy. First, you need to cut it in a mildy stroke then after you can cut it in a hard way. Tip: the lines in the blade can be useful. If you think the cutting blade is not sharp at all you can break it up (portion of the line of the blade) using a pliers. In that way your blade can be sharp as good as new. Trust me! 😉
I like watching people cut material with a straight-edge and a sharp knife. It reminds me of when I had ten fingers.😉
hahaha oh that went dark..haha
I'm doing this! I got all my materials out of the trash! Cept the paint . Looks killer!

DUDE PERFECT!
Juan Ramirez Thank you very much 👍🏻👌🏼
I can't find that foam you have in Germany, only styrofoam and I NEED to paint, if i use spray paint it'll shrink
UGF well I do have another video regarding Styrofoam and how to paint it without damaging it, u can see how I do it, the foam I am using in this video is also hard for me to find as well and pricey at the same time
Prep with pva thinned with paint for base color. Foam insulation boards carve better but more expensive.
I can’t seem to find he card board with lines. Is there a specific name for it?
Patrick Ohm thank you one more question what kinda spray paint to use so it doesn’t eat away at the foam?
Trust me! 😉
Thank you for the advise my man, really appreciate it alot 🙏🏻
Alguien sabe como se llama en Mexico el material que ocupa? Me refiero al tipo unicel más delgado...
No estoy muy seguro, amigo mío, pero el nombre de la espuma se llama XPS o THP
What are the dimensions on that door 🤦🏻♂️
No exact measurements buddy, I just eyeballed it and estimated the height as per shown on video 😁👌🏻
What country are you from? Those products look different then where i am.
From Malaysia, u? 😁 And yes I noticed when I was watching videos from others, I notice differnt products, even their rulers, markers and pens, hahaha
Nice Job.
$10.99 for a build a straw?? yikes. I bought about 6 of them from the .99 store
"AVISO" has only ONE "V"
the music is so depressing it's making me think over my life
Hahahahhaa sorry I am limited to what I can use due to youtube's copyright strikes 🤣
