Agreed. I played Wildflowers at a gig tonight and my daughter was in the audience. I got misty eyed. Beautiful song. Crawling... is one of his best ones.
Well I guess I can just go ahead and add this to my favourites list. Hot cup of coffee and a great performance on a cool fall day , life don’t get no better.
Trey, great performance. This was so good it gave me chills. I first saw Tom & the band from the 4th row in the 1980's, beyond description. FYI, I just found/heard the wonderful song "I Will Run To You" which Tom wrote & sang with Stevie on one of her albums.
I watched this in slow motion so much to pick up all the little slides, hammer ons, and pull offs you do. It’s insane how smooth and effortless you do it and make it sound so good! Amazing
Thanks Trey. That's one beautiful guitar. I think the best music video I've ever seen was "The Great Wide Open". Tom is definitely smiling down today. ❤👏
The intro really caught my ear so I worked at it - the last beat after most chords took awhile for me to get the feel of it but it finally clicked - thanks for a great take on it. Regards.
Hey man, this is from the heart saying this, it's not Just to butter you up, I have a whole diffrent feeling listening to this version that's amazing to be able to do as an artist
I’ve got a cover of Louisiana Rain on this channel! Search for it and it should come right up. I saw Tom in Nashville right around the same time. It was a dream to see him live and it was one of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to.
@@TreyAHensley Ha ha. So I found it and it turns out I watched it and commented like a year ago. Oh man, I can’t remember what I watched last month let alone last year. I love aging. Thanks Trey
Flattop I cast my own pickguards with colored epoxy. Trey needed two! Had to install them backstage in Pagosa Springs Colorado last year after he scratched the top above the sound hole.🧐 I am truly honored and blessed to have him playing one of my guitars.
Tiny bit more confidence in a few vocal parts...its hard I know but sing the whole song like you played the first 2 seconds with fire and grace...and you're going places...and it's going to heal many lost souls ...thanks for that song
Oompaville brought me here, and I'm so glad. What a gift you have.
Same!
Need more Tom covers ;)
I listen to this everyday. Petty would be proud. Superb pickin and grinnin!
Your world-class guitar ability doesn't need an award to be justified, but it's nice knowing they got it right. Congrats man!
I wish you’d do a cover album!!!
I’ve been listening to this song on and off for about a month now and it’s the best cover I’ve heard in a while for sure
They say nothing beats the original, this comes very very close
This Man.
Is absolutely.
AWESOME
I always find myself coming back to this amazing acoustic cover
I can almost see ol' Tom smiling after hearing you do this one. Well done.
Thank you brother for getting me through hard times...
He has plenty of guitars. Every single one he plays is a dream guitar for someone

… said some guy no one knows
Great job as usual but looking at your guitar I wonder what you're going to do if you have another kid?
I guess I’d have to build him another.
@@ericjohansen1953 Hope they don't have triplets next!, you'd have more sound holes than soundboard!
@@indianaslim4971might have to move to the fretboard next. lol
@@ericjohansen1953 speaking about the fretboard, nice detail putting the heart inlay along with the shaping on the end...well done!
Now do Wake up time lol
It’s hard not to do the whole Wildflowers album… love “Wake Up Time”
@@TreyAHensley I’ve been humming the lyric “ you got a heart so big.. it could crush this town” all over Florida the past couple weeks..
I’d keep liking this song if I could
