Non medical items will not be covered. But in Gold plan, Hospital cash benefit is available 1000per day for 7days for one treatment and for the year you can claim for 14days of hospitalization. that will cover for these non medical items.

It will not go. They always make provision for Sufficient claims. Even During covid times, their claim settlement was unde control. Even if they go bankrupt, IRDA will make some other company to invest and they will run the business.

Most of Health Insurance companies tall talk of assurances to extract money from people in the name of policies. They don't pay 100 percent of your claims. They are motivating Agents of insurance company by giving small gifts and food. When your claim comes after admission in the Hospital they will pay only fraction of your money. They don't pay 100 percent of your claims instead they will pay maximum of 50 percent of claims. Don't believe Insurance companies are GOD to save your health. They are doing Finance Business in the name of Insurance. Our hard money is shared by Hospital , Doctors and company. Be careful before investing your hard earned money. Awake arise.
Health insurance policies has certain waiting period for Specific diseases. Some policies have sublimits for some illnesses. Knowing the rules and regulations clearly before taking the policy will avoid disappointments.
There is nothing great about this star health young star plan. It is just a plan with usual benefits that you would get from any other health insurer. Before buying, do compare this one against ICICI lombard health shield, hdfc my health suraksha etc. And there are few other good insurers too. Just google.
