IIRC some exec wanted Sabrina and Harvey to break up for a while so they could do more stories about Sabrina dating new characters (making them a couple from day one did limit storytelling possibilities a bit early), but handling the demand like this is weird. What parents demand to break up their kids relationships so they can "play the field"??
Considering the whole supernatural premise of this show, there’s already plenty of room for creativity and new storylines without unnecessarily causing romantic drama or complications (like they did with purposely introducing that Josh character). Like, I really enjoyed how they delved into cultural superstitions and/or traditions and portrayed how they worked with The Other Realm and all. For instance, I wish they did an episode where Sabrina has to literally avoid stepping on cracks lest she break her mother’s back (although in this show, maybe have it so that it would break Harvey’s back instead). I also forget, did they ever do an episode where Sabrina accidentally breaks a mirror and has to figure out how to reverse her curse of bad luck?

Not unrealistic, sadly the parents of my ex did the same 😅 even dared to ask me to stay with him while he had other experiences and made up plans for him. Even if i loved him i had to leave cause this crap makes no sense. If there is real love between two people why experiences should still matter that much?
