Hard to believe nearly 40 years have passed. The footage is really good. 10.07 was the winning time I think, really fast for that era. This is the first time Carl Lewis really came to the attention of a global audience.
@@kemybolt The other one would be Olympic champion in 1984, Carl Lewis in lane 3. As a high school track rat, Allan Wells was one of my heroes. I stopped using blocks after watching him during the Edmonton Commonwealth Games.
@@isaz597 So everybody else except Lewis were clean in 1983? Carl Lewis has admitted nothing but giving positive samples on stimulants, which are nothing compared to anabolic steroids many were using in the 1980s.
@@FinSynthMusic nope I didn't say the rest were clean. Is he your relative that you're protecting him? Keep calm. His samples were positive for steroids in the US laboratory fiasco which they later destroyed the evidence from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. It's great how they've removed everything on the internet but I'm sure if you wanted to (which you wouldn't as you're so invested in him) you could still find the articles. I made a statement in accordance to the original comment about only him.

@@SPIDERM0OSE Yes, but he beat the Americans later in the season.
The son of the wind
Carl before the nose job!
before braces
Not before the doping (which he later admitted to) as its clearly evident how far ahead he gets of world class field almost effortlessly.

@@FinSynthMusic I believe that if Carl took stimulants, Bolt must have taken them too.
ben was always a great starter but it took him many years to be able to finish
Ben was not here!

Where was Bolt?
@@ameliabedelia7018 He was a twinkle in his mother's eye!
Fastest gay sprinter of all time. And full of dope.
And Lewis says he's better than Bolt😂😂😂😂😂😂
