Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!" Развлечения
dude's a national treasure
i know I'm kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch newly released series online?
He does a good impression of tape recorder buttons.
His grandma sounds like a chain-smoking Scarface.
Well Moe was apparently based on Al Pacino
His grandmother sounds like Old Jewish Man.
Little bit of Kirk as well
He's from a Jewish family and Mel Blanc was Jewish too so that's where a lot of it comes from. :)
I Think he's got zephardic (spanish jewish) ancestry
this guy is literally the reason for the stereotypical Indian accent , and i love it
abhishek shetty - I work with a lot of people who were born in India and have known quite a few others and all the ones I've talked to about it like Apu on The Simpsons (though they usually say it's another relative he reminds them of). I'm sure there are many others who hate it, though.
+abhishek shetty yeah, you are right...it's better to be associated with a funny accent and IT professionals than some other horrible thing
Slippy It’s actually Peter Sellers who is responsible for that accent. He did it when he played an Indian in the 1968 film “The Party”. Hank himself based Apu on Mr Sellers character.
Things got worse now.
WOW, that vocal transformation :O
Agador Spartacus!
I bet him and Will Arnett would be great together in something. I'd love to see them work together.
"i'm gonna make my grandson an offer he cant refuse" *hands Hank a nickel* now don't go and spend it all at once...
His voice for his grandma sounds like his voice for the old Jewish guy that sings "Old Grey Mare" with his pants around his ankles.
+What-If Machine She HAIN'T what she used to be.
What a beautiful and talented guy
I met him once when he was performing in Spamalot. He's such a sweet guy!
'Say hello to my little Hank'
A cassette recorder - wow, kids have no idea.
Hanks mom had such much fun with him im sure.
this guys amazing
His mom's mother-in-law sounds like Al Pacino.
You should totally try to get Frank Welker on the show.
he looks like moe .. i wish the Simpsons make live action ...
+rangga aditya He would have to play so many different roles that it'd be confusing to follow which one he's supposed to be at any given time.
Remember we’ve already had a live action opening sequence. Don’t think it would be a good idea to have another animated classic ruined by a rubbish live-action remake
Hank was great
I read somewhere that they based Moe on the comedian Rich Hall. I'm not sure that's true, but I so wish it was because I adore Rich Hall. Definitely one of the most underrated comedians of all time.
he's quite big in the uk
adam fothers
Yeah, compared to US. I feel like he ought to be at least twice as popular in UK (he hasn't been doing much lately) and 10 x in US. The global audiences need Rich Hall! He is probably my favourite deadpan guy, if not of all times, at least recently.
i love that man
Awwwwwweee bless xx
Would love to hear hank do the 2 main bits from heat the restaurant scene and the great ass scene as moe lol
Hank is so funny
1:29 always cracks me up!!
Great on Ray Donovan
1:50 , sounds like Abe when he was in drag performing for Hitler.
1:27 lol
0:11 i hear a bit of Apu here
I heard it!
Yeah haha I was curious as to which he sounds closest to and it's Apu?!?!!
i was thinking exactly the same haha, and immediately started to look at the comments to see if somebody thought the same, it really sounded like Apu
I don’t deserve this kind of shabby treatment!
BZZZZZZ
His grandma sounds like the old man who sings "old gray mare".
funny dude
I sound like his mother..
His mom sounds more like Liberace
I've gotten used to him voicing Kahmunrah, his normal voice just sounds weird
Lol
I wonder if there was a slipper waiting for his backside when Mom found out there was no mother in law.
I smoke allot..
Haha is Hank Italian descent?
Any one else think of a different Moe when you read this title?
nope
the csgo streamer?
So basically a millionaire on the back of a misspent youth.....and good for him.
first
