As a former professional bike mechanic, I prefer metal for my tools but found the Toyos way to pricey for what they are. Thanks, Mike, for this great alternative!
The slim ones are long enough, but there wouldn't be a lot of clearance. Maybe one of the larger ones and you could pad it with some of that pick apart foam to cushion them? I wouldn't want them slamming around in there.
Ohhhh I need something like that to hold my sticker flakes. I want to dump them all together in one little box. Do all the bottles fit from the ink vent?
I actually keep most of my stickers in a small tin lunch box! These would work well, too, I think. The inkvent bottles fit, but there isn't room for the larger 25th day bottle.
Your Amazon link didn’t work. Walmart is sold out. I actually purchased a different size from Amazon but wasn’t impressed. I was so glad I didn’t invest in the Esterbrook box. As for the size you are displaying, photo boxes from Michaels work much better. They are plastic which cuts down on the noise, lessening need for foam buffers. I have one dedicated to nibs. One is dedicated to brass shims and smoothing paper.
I have a few plastic boxes of various kinds, but I do like the little metal boxes. My extra nibs live in the same kinds of vials that we use for samples, and I keep them in a rack. It makes them easier to find. I do have more stray nibs than your average bear, though. (My Amazon link does appear to work, but it won't take you to any particular page. It just goes to the front page of Amazon and you'd need to search from there. It's more for reference.)
I have three Trusco and have had them for years before the Toyo became so popular.
I do like a good box. Also empty jars. And used ink bottles. Bags with pockets. I guess I like containers. Thanks, Mike!
I have three different sizes of truss boxes and I love them. I have one for ink bottles, one for stationery surplus, and one for all my fidget gear.
The BOX is fidget gear, sometimes.

Oh yeah, they'd fit quite a few of the tools I have for my bike, and they'd look classier than the cardboard box those tools are in now.
I'd like to get one to store fountain pens. Would you say the one you have is long enough for that?

Trusco boxes are great just for random stationery scattered around on my desk! And it’s cheaper for Toyo 😅

use the new box for spare nibs and converters :)
