Chris is one of the greatest dudes on Earth, and you do him a lot of justice. Thanks for this great cover. You cant even believe what this song means to me.
Haha I wish I could say I did this by ear...this is a lot more difficult than more punk songs though. They released tab books for Supporting Caste and Failed States so I learned from that!
Excellent stuff Jenn. The 3 last Propagandhi albums helped me make it through when trying to get rid of methadone. Sometimes you just want to kill those emotions cos you can't express them in any other way/think you can't. I picked back the old Washburn and it helped me get me back on my feet. Do you like Pennywise? Please do Society if so! thanks again for this.
For those who don't know, Francis was a pig that could escape a slaughterhouse. Please stop your contribution to this cruel and unethical practice, go vegan. Lyrics: Francis didn't give a fuck about the rollbacks. Overproduction, reduced demand. Never gave much thought to disputed contracts. In his short life, he'd only ever known... Panic, fear, pain, darkness, pandemonium, In this hell that was his home and... Fourth-quarter earning expectations, Expedited their demise. The panic grew as the humans stalked among them. When the screaming began, Francis shut his eyes and felt the hand Of inhumanity brush over him, but... His would-be killer's back turned for a moment. A blinding ray of light spread across the floor. In a crimson pool, he saw his own reflection, As he bolted for the door. Not just some fractured fairy-tale Although I wish that that were true. This is a fable far too real. {Yet} we somehow still cling to The story lines that bridge the chasms Between cognition and belief. Any old implausible denial That might offer some relief... From the dissonance that Francis Left screaming in his wake. Deep into the heart of the city's park lands, He made good his escape. And where, for five months, he ran free And replayed his only fond memory. Just a warm and distant dream of... His mother's loving eyes upon him. Francis made it farther than she did. A quarter mile just short of the city limits, They finally captured him. And there's a statue that the abattoir erected To remind us of all their contributions. To me it marks Potemkin City Limits, This Francis cast in bronze. Turn around I’m gone. Not just some fractured fairy-tale, Although I wish that that were true. A fable far too real, We somehow still cling to...
If everyone went vegan the amount of farmland that would have to be created to supply the vegetables for food for the planet would kill more animals than the meat industry. Just saying.
@@xploi Read "An Animal's Place". It explains exactly what I said. The amount of farmland necessary to grow the amount of soy we would need were everyone to go vegan would displace and kill more animals than current carnivore habits. Just a little research and you'd know that. I get it though. Bleeding hearts hate research and data and prefer emotional slogans. But by all means, you do you.
I can't believe I have been watching your videos for like... a year and a half... and I never heard ANY of your Propagandhi videos! You're going to get a LOT more viewers in the next little while...
This is one awesome song. I listen to this cover version at least once a month and I find it so refreshing and full of energy. It motivates me always to take my guitar and play some chords, sadly I am not quite as good as she is, but nevertheless still the punk rock motivation is there. To live music as she does is quite inspiring. I would love to see some covers of Satanic surfers or Millencolin.
I had this song on in my car a few years ago on the PA turnpike and a livestock trailer loaded with pigs passed me and they were all sticking their noses out of the breathholes, I got really upset and saddened when I thought about it. I literally never ate meat or dairy again and that was 4 years ago. Nice job on this cover
Brilliant! one of my absolute fav Propagandhi songs. If you take requests i would love to hear any song made by The Flatliners covered by you :) keep it up!
i can't stand how people insist on posting videos of themselves horribly covering songs on RUclips and having to sort through them when i'm trying to find the song i actually want to listen to. That said, i actually REALLY enjoyed this. Thanks, Jenn.
You're an inspiring talent. You make acoustic covers your own instead of just strumming away and not added anything to the original. Saw you open for Propagandhi in Toronto a couple years ago.. I just wish there were more people there.
amazing!! i know i already commented but i decided to again because this is such a great cover and i wanted to second the flatliners cover idea or a dillinger 4 cover would be awesome you dont see that too often. thanks for being awesome and definitely an inspiration.
loved this one, you nailed it once again..actually, i love all your propagandhi covers, parts of them give me chills..i also watched the newer video of you singing with the band..must've been an exciting experience, it just makes me smile every time..keep up the good job! :)

I come back every now and then to watch this. So many of your acoustic covers blow my hair back. 👊🏽
Astounding
same here
Chris is one of the greatest dudes on Earth, and you do him a lot of justice. Thanks for this great cover. You cant even believe what this song means to me.
Even with such depressing lyrics its one of my all time favorite Propagandhi songs.
Excellent cover
What a great performer. I hope she is still performing somewhere. Amazing.
Haha I wish I could say I did this by ear...this is a lot more difficult than more punk songs though. They released tab books for Supporting Caste and Failed States so I learned from that!
Great to come back and listen to these again so many years later. They still sound amazing. Who thought Propagandi could sound so chilled.
An evening with Jenn Fiorentino yea, I’d go to that 😉
Keep em coming !!
I always think about this cover when I listen to this song. Very cool!

I was not expecting this to be this good. Wow. Great voice and great chops
You have a ton of talent. I love your Version. Thanks.
OUH, THANK
I think I'm in love. You're fucking fantastic.

I'll do you one better. I'm going to eat pork, but I only harvest it myself. Hunting is more ethical. Quick and clean verses crimson floor.
We 'harvest' grain. veggies and fruit...we MURDER animals. There is no ethical way to kill someone who does not want to die.
If everyone went vegan the amount of farmland that would have to be created to supply the vegetables for food for the planet would kill more animals than the meat industry. Just saying.
@@lagronemikal that has no logic at all. Animals are fed vegetables. Eating animals you are eating much more food quantity indirectly.
@@xploi Read "An Animal's Place". It explains exactly what I said.
