Really amusing. I’m surprised that you cooked them in a microwave - big mistake. In an oven the gravy is more congealed and they tend to be crispy on the outside. One last point the recipe for these was out way before microwave ovens, cooked slowly in the oven they are a different story all together.
Ohhh nooo way. I’m in kinks at you Gareth 😜😜😜😜🤪 I’d never ever ever EVER try Those things. Tell ya what though, you’re brave 😂😂😂 Wherever you got them from they need to recall them 😂 Great video again xx
I had a pack of 6 last week from Morrissons, 99p. Delicious with mash and mushy peas. But I do like offal, liver, kidneys etc. Can't stand tripe though.
To be honest Gareth, they looked and sounded gross! I saw on the ingredients it said pork liver and that was enough to put me off lol! Fair do's to you for at least giving them a go but they wouldn't be for me either....there's some things that for me should never be tried 😆
Not eating liver, kidneys and offal as a whole is turning people into wimps, liver has fantastic nutritional value, better than burgers and takeways. Liver does need cooking properly though as it can become very dry. If you just lightly braise liver in a rich onion gravy then it takes up the flavour and is lovely with heaps of creamy mash, or you could try lambs liver, a more subtle taste. 30 years in the meat trade taught me we should utilise as much of the animal that has been killed to provide our food.
This was a good one! Maybe you should do a short series where you really push the boundaries with some far out food tasting - starting with gourmet insects?
Gareth do know when you said onion it wasn't it was a toe nail 🤣🤣🤣🤣, what are you doing son ,SPOT ON LAUGHING ME HEAD OFF YOU MAKE ME DAY ,KEEP GOING NEARLY 18 K 👌
Me and my misses (at the time) tried these about 7 years ago. They weren't great, and that's eating them same day as bought them. But I agree with everyone on here that they have definitely changed the reciepe so its nothing like how we remember them back in 1970/80s. Don't know why they even bother to still make them. But at least you gave it a try which confirms outright that it was fit for the bin! Good review as always Gareth and very entertaining to see your adverse reaction to the food 😝.
I'm a bit late to this one. They are much better in the oven IMO. I still buy these and have them with mash and peas. I absolutely love them. I disagree with some people. They taste exactly the same as they always have to me.
I suspect that Brains have changed the recipe as when I ate these many years go they never had pieces of onion in them ( it was all ground up). They used to be quite tasty even though they had a tendency to fall apart.

4% pork at the bottom of all those chemicals on the ingredients. How on earth food companies can get away with calling them "pork"? More like "lard and chemicals", bet they aren't cheap either. Fab reaction though, one dish to avoid!

Love these, probably cost you a Pound for 4, my Mam calls them, Savoury Ducks ', I don't know why, I have them with boiled potatoes and peas, the gravy is delish, a German equivalent, although, heavier, would be 'Fricadella'.
They need heat over time to become soft, flashing in microwave will only make them hot. It was probably gristle that hadn't been broken down by cooking.

One last point the recipe for these was out way before microwave ovens, cooked slowly in the oven they are a different story all together.
Cheers Jim Merry Christmas 🎅🎅🎅😋
They are oven cooked and flash frozen at the factory.
Ohhh nooo way. I’m in kinks at you Gareth 😜😜😜😜🤪 I’d never ever ever EVER try Those things. Tell ya what though, you’re brave 😂😂😂 Wherever you got them from they need to recall them 😂
Great video again xx
Thank you x
I feel your pain , they really look disgusting 🤢 you certainly gave them your best, your face said it all. Not for me !🎅🏽😜👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Haha I did lol 😋👍👍
I had a pack of 6 last week from Morrissons, 99p. Delicious with mash and mushy peas. But I do like offal, liver, kidneys etc. Can't stand tripe though.
To be honest Gareth, they looked and sounded gross! I saw on the ingredients it said pork liver and that was enough to put me off lol! Fair do's to you for at least giving them a go but they wouldn't be for me either....there's some things that for me should never be tried 😆
Yes not good James lol 😋👍👍
Not eating liver, kidneys and offal as a whole is turning people into wimps, liver has fantastic nutritional value, better than burgers and takeways. Liver does need cooking properly though as it can become very dry. If you just lightly braise liver in a rich onion gravy then it takes up the flavour and is lovely with heaps of creamy mash, or you could try lambs liver, a more subtle taste. 30 years in the meat trade taught me we should utilise as much of the animal that has been killed to provide our food.
Aaaahaa ;) all yer santa thumbnails told me it wasn't a merry Christmas.
They're not bad
They go well with mash
Another quality lunch time belly laughter video Gazza, Ya eyes drop, so does the expression and my guts hurt from laughing lololol
Haha cheers 👍👍👍😋
Hi Gareth been eating these for years, love them, great with chips and peas or on there own with bread and butter
Cheers
I’d never even buy meat products from “ Mr Brain” I Salute you bud 😭💯
This was a good one! Maybe you should do a short series where you really push the boundaries with some far out food tasting - starting with gourmet insects?
Haha
That was the funniest thing I've seen in ages, made me lol.
Your face when first tasting it 🤣 bloody classic
haha yes
Gareth do know when you said onion it wasn't it was a toe nail 🤣🤣🤣🤣, what are you doing son ,SPOT ON LAUGHING ME HEAD OFF YOU MAKE ME DAY ,KEEP GOING NEARLY 18 K 👌
Cheers Kevin
I love em my mum used to buy fresh ones over butchers counter they had a lovely crispy top yum
😂😂😂😂👍 just can't stop laughing at your facial reaction when something tastes horrible. You are my favourite TV viewing the best person to watch on TV
Haha cheers
Gareth, we love these. We have them with mash, veg and extra gravy.
Cheers Miles 😋👍👍
I'm a bit late to this one. They are much better in the oven IMO.
I still buy these and have them with mash and peas. I absolutely love them. I disagree with some people. They taste exactly the same as they always have to me.
I suspect that Brains have changed the recipe as when I ate these many years go they never had pieces of onion in them ( it was all ground up). They used to be quite tasty even though they had a tendency to fall apart.
i cant believe how much i have laughed watching you,i live on my own my neighbours must think im cracking up lol
I'm laughing with you Shirley 💖 You're not on your own here lovely
Haha cheers, yes not been good this week lol. Nearly made me chuck up lol
Eaten these all my life, raised on offal and still prefer it to lean meat. You should try some tripe and onions- beautiful!!
Cheers Mick, yes I should of done it in the oven. My apologies.
To me they taste like having a mouth full of processed goo,not meaty at all, more like
a squidgy bad tasting stuffing ball with a hint of meat paste...thank you Gareth ,nice to see the christmas spirit !!🙏x
I love watching your channel especially your expressions when you don’t like something.Keep up the good work, happy Christmas 🎄 from Kent
Cheers Sue, Merry Christmas 🎅🎅😋👍

Cheers Sandra 😋👍👍
You bought them to eat Gareth? No one thought you was gonna replace a broken roof tile with em. Bloody love those.
Don't ever play Poker Gaz !!
Your face tells the truth of your reactions and there's no disguising it. I love the way you were totally disgusted with your first mouthful but still went back for a second !! Great videos
Haha yes I can't play poker, haha Merry Christmas 🎅🎅🎅
Perhaps they come from a different factory Oop North, Gareth. We love them. Strange how the comments are love/hate.
Yes maybe done in the oven be better 👍👍
Soon as you tasted it I was 🤣🤣🤣 I love your videos, you are ace, very comical northern humour, love it 👍
Haha thank you. All the best 😋😋👍👍
I just love the face when you don't like anything it cracks me up 🤣👍
Haha cheers
The look on your face after the first mouthful was priceless 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣👍
Haha
Congratulations x Gareth. Brilliant. You have to cook them to within an inch of thier lives, lol. ❤️ Bless your not having a good time, with these here dishes, good food should never be bad.
Thank you Mary x
4% pork at the bottom of all those chemicals on the ingredients. How on earth food companies can get away with calling them "pork"? More like "lard and chemicals", bet they aren't cheap either. Fab reaction though, one dish to avoid!
Congratulations on 18000 foodies. I love these Brains
Cheers, yes can't believe it
Your face says it all Gaz.
When you said Oh God, no; it was so funny 🤣
Sorry you didn’t enjoy them.
Another great video 👍.
Keep up the good work. You are a star 👍
Haha cheers Ross, Merry Christmas 🎅🎅🎅🎅
Brilliant..just brilliant! Loving your work! Proper legend 👍🏽
Thank you 😋👍👍🎅🎅
I had these about last year and never brought them again they were horrible. Great video Gareth and no need to say sorry kids come first
Cheers John. Merry Christmas to you and your good family 🎅🎅🎅👨👩👦
Glad to see your channel growing mate top fella 👊🙌💯 wishing you all the success in the world 👌
Thank you 😋👍👍👍🎅
Love these, probably cost you a Pound for 4, my Mam calls them, Savoury Ducks ', I don't know why, I have them with boiled potatoes and peas, the gravy is delish, a German equivalent, although, heavier, would be 'Fricadella'.
i love the german equivalent
They need heat over time to become soft, flashing in microwave will only make them hot. It was probably gristle that hadn't been broken down by cooking.
We use to have these with mash potato and peas always had to mix it all in tho. Great video again 🤣👍🏻
Yes better done in the oven I been told.
With mashed potato and marrowfat peas...absolutely yummy
Made my day as usual Pet
Face says it All
My Mam Used to make these At Home She Was Obsessed in Giving Liver
Becauce couldn't Afford
A Lot Of Meat Back Then
But She did Fantastic Gravy With Them So I Used to Dip My Fresh Baked Stottie in them
So these are A No From Me Gareth Great Review
Spot On All The Best To you and Yours xx
Haha thank you xx

Hi Gareth, been watching you for a while when my husband watches you, but just subscribed myself. Your channel is amazing! You review food we all want to try. Please don't feel obliged to reply, you are a busy man, just wanted to say well done with all you are doing. 😊
Cheers Julie lovely of you to say. Thank you 😋😋🎅🎅
Deserved Gareth 😁🎅
Cheers 👍👍
Hahaha! Had these as a kid quite liked them. One day I asked my nan what was in them and she said, the whole of the pig including the earholes and a'holes! Funny as but never ate them since. Good if you mix them up into your mashed spud and cabbage. 🤣
Cheers
I love these, the come in packs of 6 and I mop the gravey up with bread
Cheers
You have no idea how much I needed that laugh your face priceless 🤣
Haha thank you, Merry Christmas 🎅🎅
You should never EVER microwave them, they go to rubber chewy trash. Sorry pal the issue here was the cook not the food! In the oven they go nice and soft, serve them with a bit of extra gravy mushy peas and chips and they’re cracking👍
Thanks for the tips!
Brain's f****ts (YT won't let me use the proper word. Idiots.) are awesome! So good in fact we consider them a delicacy. Must be oven baked or stove topped tho. Microwave changes the texture.
Used to love these with mushy peas and chips! Have to be done in the oven though
Cheers Luke, yes the oven would be better.
years ago i ate these regularly. last two packs i tried recently were vile tasted rank and really mushy with loads of revolting gristly bits, never again.
I love these, I usually put some frozen mixed veg in on top about half way through cooking.
May your God bless you and preserve your health Gareth. You're one man for one man trying these unpalatable foodstuffs
Cheers
I know I'm late to the party, but after following you for about two months, I thought there wasn't anything you didn't like; then this is that!
haha there is a few keep looking lol
The face say's it all I have sometimes seen those in stores but I won't be bothering now. Great channel always a lot of fun.
Thank you 😋👌👌
