Thank you for this lesson, especially the focus on strumming pattern. That helped a lot.
Agreed! I was just revisiting this one today and the strumming pattern is crucial! Such a great song, such a great lesson by Rob!
Your an outstanding Teacher as well as a very talented performer I'm only a month into playing guitar at 56 but I've taught ballroom dancing for 37 yrs so i know talent ! thanks again for Sharing yours ! John
ive been listening to 10 of your covers so far and your voice literally suits to every song. simply amazing!
Great job Rob. You really lay it out better than most..
Fantastic lesson. You are an excellent teacher, very clear, very concise, and most important, you are thorough. I often get frustrated watching online lessons that have key elements missing, either by oversight or because the instructor assumed the viewer knows where to fill in the blanks. I really appreciate how you cover all the bases giving your viewers what they need to succeed. Job well done!
This is the best tutorial for this song.
Nice job!
wow, love the new look................ thanks for the great lessons.
This was simply a fantastic lesson, thank you so much for posting.
I realize Im kind of randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online ?
@Alexander Brett Thanks, I went there and it seems to work :D I appreciate it!!
@Aiden Taylor you are welcome :D
I'm a big fan of Cat Stevens, and I want to say thank you not just for the tutorial, but also for the best and closest cover to the original I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. Excellent
Thomas Houston Hey thanks so much, thats such a huge compliment and a huge source of motivation as I prepare to film today.

Thanks as always for the great lesson - love the breakdown of the strumming patterns and the different options for the riffs!
I love this song, you do it proud. I was surprise at how easy your step by step tuition is to pick up, I never could have worked it out.
Happy to be of help Ian!
Another brill Cat Stevens song and tutorial. SUPERB! thank you so much!
thanks for the info. you know I tried to learn this song several years back but for some reason i could not get the beat right but when i ran across your sight i had it down in no time. something just clicked in my head, I reckon..... Its good to have people like you out there that's willing to share the love of music.... Believe it or not but I've been playing for over 55 years and with having RUclips I still learn new ways to play old songs. Thanks and keep the great work up..............
Excellent, best lesson I've seen on this classic. Not difficult but not a beginner song either, will take a little practice to master the fills and timing. Exactly what I'm looking for to take the next step from mostly chord strumming for the last year. Thanks!
Great guitar lesson. Thank you

Hi, Rob. I have had fun learning this, surprisingly easy but the timing is taking me a while with the song because I'm not used to singing along. Love your style of teaching, it's so intuitive.

stan hankins Thanks for your positive feedback, glad you're making good use of my work thus far!
hey Rob, big fan of your work, loved this lesson, you've made it so simple yet so amazing. thank you.
I just found this guitar lesson for 'Wild World' (I'm going to tackle it!), but saw 'Wild' in the title and wondered if you had any love for Dire Straits, Mark & David Knopfler and that you might take a run at doing a lesson video on a tune from their first album called 'Wild West End'? Of the few attempts at teaching this song I've found; none seem to get it quite right.
Beautifully done!
The most sickliest voice on youtube
The voice is something you either have or you don't, I don't, but my playing is improving.
Thanks for the help.

great job there Mister Swift..!
great lesson thank you.
O hey , its you again !! i remember i watched your video like 7 or 8 months ago ( stand by me lesson) After which i bought my first guitar (30 euros HOORAY )
O ye baby , i have learned so much from that time. Thank you for wonderfull time enjoying guitar !!
i play a lot of lead blues, love nothing more than just using some backing tracks and improvising blues riffs all night. However , I am finding a new appreciation for chords, changes, riffs, in between chords, getting the strum pattern and then having to sing with it... this stuff is hard.... geez. When I play blues like "blue jean blues" (zz top) or BB King "thrill is gone" ... I sing, I play, but never have to sing AND play at the same time, lol. Learning to play some of the songs like in this video is harder than I expected.. Oh, well, no pain, no gain, ... DANG, lol.
Greetings from Russia). Yr stuff is just awesome.
I've just started to learn guitar and yr chanel is a real treasure, because of 2 reasons: 1) These are my favorite songs, 2) You give realy great tutorials.
Always glad to hear from a friend in Russia. Thanks for reaching out and sharing some motivating words. Be well and enjoy your practice. -Rob
Thanks a lot, Rob, for your wishes and your work!
Damn, I've been plaing it all the time wrong way. Lucky me I bumped into your vid, great work!
Big up, cheers :)
Since I've watched this video, I can't get this song out of my head, which is great coz I love this song, so thanks for your lesson. While keeping practising it, I was wondering if you could do some songs of legendary group Smokie? They have some interesting ones.
kasiatys My pleasure, so glad to be of help! Let me know if you have any particular titles by Smokie that you would recommend, I'm not familiar. Thanks!
For example, their the most famous song "Living next door to Alice", or "Needles and pins" or "Don't play your rock and roll to me". They have many more, but these three are great. If you have time to do one of these I would be grateful. Thanks in advance.
I am just getting started with the uke so some of my questions could seem silly.
Thanks for the response.
