- Enjoy part 3 of my series on how to edit weddings (or any other type of project) quickly! In this video I talk about a hidden trick you might not know about when working with lots of clips inside of Resolve.
While I was editing my b-roll I was wondering how was I going to do, exactly what you explained on this tutorial! I didn't play with timelines and stacking timelines before. So, this will really help to speed up my editing process... Thank you so much! your tutorials are fantastic!
Glad I could help!
Bro! Watching your videos is very interesting, although I don’t understand everything, but the essence is clear (English is not my native language), you easily present the material. Do not stop and release videos more often, tell us about the most basic things when working in davinci, there are not very many such tutorials, but you have a lot of experience.
Good luck to you and your channel. From Russia with love.
Thanks much appreciated!
Thank you for this 🔥🔥😊
You're welcome! More videos to come!
Ive never seen anyone do this before, its kinda like source tape but better - great tip wish I'd known about this 6 months ago when I had an absolute headache of a job.
Definitely keep these kinds of vids coming - great stuff
Cheers
That's great to hear! I love helping others learn Resolve so they can focus on creating
Wow this will be really handy, I had hoped there is some way that I don't need to switch timelines all the time if I have one where I can prepare some clips already. Thanks!
That's great to hear! Glad it helped.
Thanks for your organisation tricks in Davinci!
Glad I could help!
so good thank you. also would like to see working on 2 monitors one timeline and another one with view
I used to work on two monitors, but then decided to simplify my desk setup so I switched to just one.
Great stuff! I did not know that this was something I needed, but it's actually gonna help me quite a bit, thanks! A tiny nitpick: You should use the word 'track' instead of 'layer', because it's a bit confusing in this context.
Thanks for watching! I also appreciate the feedback.
Hi. quick question. Does your 'Wedding film' timeline have the same preference set up as your 'b-roll' timeline? If so, what if i want a normal speed in some of the clips? btw, awesome vid. glad i found it. subscribed.
Great thanks for watching and subbing! Typically if I want to make any clips normal speed I just select the clip on the timeline, then press "Ctrl + R" and make the clip 250% speed. Otherwise, you can copy and paste all your clips in the media pool, put them in another folder (call it normal speed or something) then just set them back to their original frame rate.
Thanks for these videos! Super helpful!
I like the idea of this but how exactly do you find the clip you know you shot when you don’t have the preview on the broll timeline? Make sense? I wouldn’t want to have to drag my mouse all over the broll timeline that is solid blue to find something I could just see a preview of and go straight to it.
For sure! Well you can turn it back on I'd you like, I just find that I'm faster at scrubbing through to find what I want rather than looking through thumbnails. You take a pretty large performance hit when you have the thumbnails on
What would be the best way to re attach the audio from the clips and be synced?
That's a great question! I'm not actually 100% sure. I generally just go back to the original clip on the media pool. From there the In and Out points usually match the clip in the timeline, so I just drag the audio from there.
I love you man...
🥰🥰
Good video however is it not a pain cam see your sound
Thanks for the feedback!
@@donovankean sorry that should have said is it not a pain in the ass not being able to see the audio with it? Ps Good Video Again
When I sort B Roll, I don't really need the audio for what I do. But this works just the same if you need to keep the audio.
