Katherine Uride. You are absolutely right. What is surprising it's lion's basic knowledge. There is so much wildlife ignorance perhaps because people don't read anymore. I've read several of your comments and appreciated very much because you take the time to learn about lions.
This is Lincoln park zoo. I was just there yesterday and heard that same lion roar. It echo's throughout the building its beautiful. This section is tiny but it leads outdoors to a much bigger section. Still smaller than what they are supposed to be living in though.
@@alert89 I would go with communicating but who's really to say because they also roar like that when they're happy. Usually It's when they do big roars followed by little roars they're usually happy and just communicating. Plus you have to understand they are around humans a lot so roaring about territory doesn't make that much sense. They might have been excited to see the camera man.
@juliope9 Have you ever been to the Lincoln Park Zoo? There's a little door way in the cage where they can go to their outdoor exibits (which is much, much larger) as they please. If you look in the description, there is 12 inches of snow outside so they're not allowed to. The Lincoln Park Zoo isn't cruel at all.
These are not angry lions-this is the famous Adelor (and his roar) and Myra. Adelor passed away on February 1, 2012 -we loved him so and he will never be forgotten.
@shadowkitty56 No you're right, I looked into it. They do in fact occasionally go outside for exercise during winter and are outside most of spring summer and fall unless there is really thick snow.
no, actually, this is the actual roar, the sound in the fighting is just a fighting sound, but this is sound they do to communicated and warn others, i saw it on Nat. geo. it travels for miles!
OMG what a small enclosure! I hope that they have a outside part thats bigger than this?? and yeah like the former coments said, like if the fake background is going to help wtfff!!! Beautifull animals.
Pretty sure those lions aren't angry. All lions do that, in captivity and in the wild. The lions at the fort worth zoo do that daily. And that is probably all of the room they get. From there they have access to pins that are in doors.
@charliewecker I think you are right. But on the other hand, I think that using this as a TEMPORARY space is alright: as somebody said here, there was an awful lot of snow on the ground and putting them somewhere safe until it let up is an excellent idea (unless you're trying to tell me that is their ONLY habitat...then of course, start building.
Lions do that everyday. It's like they're pleaded for mercy. They need a bigger cage. Maybe even an acre. Actually all the cats / predator animals need bigger cages that building is old as hell, Awesome, but to crude for 2010 big cat standards.
I don't think those were angry roars. Lions roar like that in the wild to mark their territory. If they were angry I think they would have snarled and shown lots of teeth rather than just bellowing :) But thanks for sharing :)
These lions aren't angry. That's a territorial roar, just like they do in the wild. Nice to know they still have it in them. Good lions!

I love the sound of their roars. It is thrilling and they are beautiful!q
The roars of the female lions sound a little more like tigers! They´re more meow-ish than the male lions!
Its okay! That realistic backdrop makes them feel just like they're home again! They really can't tell the difference!
Poor guys :( This makes me sad.
Bull shit...your just as delusional as the zoo mgmt
@@jonmeboi it was a joke
This is the most majestic sound, period.
no wonder they ticked off...there enclosure is tiny!
*lol* At 0:51 the female sounds like an Angry Arnold Schwarzeneggar !! :D
A lion roar in closed enclosure is scarier with the echo.
Wow! what a beautiful chorus. Beautiful Lions and Lioness.
This is Lincoln park zoo. I was just there yesterday and heard that same lion roar. It echo's throughout the building its beautiful. This section is tiny but it leads outdoors to a much bigger section. Still smaller than what they are supposed to be living in though.
It's the feline version of John and Yoko.
I like how his wife starts roaring too
Holy f*** this is the most amazing lion roar i've heard!
That echo was amazing. Imagine being in a tent in Africa and hearing that.!!!
They have a larger cage. This is just the indoor exhibit. They also have a larger exhibit outdoors and I think an additional off-display indoor area.
ليست نبرة غضب بل نبرة حزن وإنذار مرعب مما سيفعله الله سبحانه بظالمي الإنسان والحيوان ولكأن اللبؤة تأثّرت بشدة وردّدت وراءه بألم
her roar is way more powerful than the male
Such amazing creatures. It's horrible seeing them trapped in small cages like that! But hey.. Meals on wheels right? ;)
It's a warning. You dont let anyone in your inner circle. Family. Very territorial and protective of family.
the lions beatboxing lol
That lion king is like rapping. XD
FoodSlayer IKR, OH OH OH OH. XD
He's saying: Get me out of here, I did nothing, I'm innocent, I'm Pope innocent!
Simba and Nala want out!
angry? they're just communicating
No, it's territorial.

they did not look angry at all who thinks it was angry disliked it who thinks it wasn't angry like it
PLEASE SET US FREE is what they are really saying. How sad for these Majestic creatures to be caged
The lions have plenty of space. Both and indoor area and an outdoor yard and a connecting den in between.
@hardphil Solo los ponen ahi por exposicion, al cerrar el horario de visitas los llevan a un lugar mas grande donde en realidad viven...
What kind of enviroment is that for these magnificent beasts. Even though its a territorial roar, wouldnt be surprised if he is angry.
🦁🦁🦁
talkative kitties!
Thats a beast of a roar, but I think surely there must be like a backroom to this zoo where they can run round?
its a Lion V8!!!!
@shadowkitty56 No you're right, I looked into it. They do in fact occasionally go outside for exercise during winter and are outside most of spring summer and fall unless there is really thick snow.
SOUNDS like they are burping!
@ALoveForOrcas
i do think that this is just the winter or rain cage u know, they have a spot outside like any zoo has
this is freaking awesome.
It says:
Let me free!
The female is saying "o gosh, hold on I'll be back I got a hairball" (goes in the corner to gag)
they can go outside through a hole behind them ,. when I was there a few weeks ago the male was puring they was wild sounding
This makes me feel so small compared to their power
Take a gun then
Lions don't actually live in the jungle. And these guys have an outdoor enclosure as well.
no, actually, this is the actual roar, the sound in the fighting is just a fighting sound, but this is sound they do to communicated and warn others, i saw it on Nat. geo. it travels for miles!
Don't worry people they have an outdoor exhibit, and it's big too.
Why so small?
OMG what a small enclosure!

Beautifull animals.
read the description
What a lion this is a King of jungle yae dhakad sun kar tu hathi aur tiger ke be tanghae kaamp jyae
the lioness looks bigger than the male lion.
what a sound
Their saying FREE US NOW!!!!!
and the other one was like: "you and your black humor"
Translation: "Come and pet me...I swear nothing bad will happend"
What kind of zoo is this place? The reverb is insane.
they are not exactly angry, they are just unconfortable..angry lions roar with all their guts o.o
very impressive sound
what if they had brains like us humans.
they need a biger space to roam around
Pretty sure those lions aren't angry. All lions do that, in captivity and in the wild. The lions at the fort worth zoo do that daily. And that is probably all of the room they get. From there they have access to pins that are in doors.
Good beat to it
Sound like me in the toilet this mornimg
i just wet my pants
The humans.
I think I know what's going on, the lion's are roaring because they want freedom and they want to go back to their natural habitats
Que zoo é esse que dá tanto eco?????????
Shit, Badass growls.
Was that Adelor?
they want to get out of that HELL-HOLE..
Free animals!!!
hahaha beatboxing 0:43
Es un gatito indefensos.
the lions sing a song for the camera.
My babies! Do you have a stomach-ache or tooth-pain?
Sounds danger
i know you could here them at least a mile away
That cage/pen is 50 times to small. The human race sucks at respective our fellow species.
I think hs want you to go over ther and give him a high five.
ive been there once,! and i felt so bad for the animals!
cool lions angry
im wondering what they are trying to say: help us out of this fucking cage?! Which is tooooooo smalllll!!!!
This angers me that people are so narrow minded to think small enclosure is ok
The enclosure looks very small.
They are tired beeing in that cave.. Poor lions
Lions do that everyday. It's like they're pleaded for mercy. They need a bigger cage. Maybe even an acre. Actually all the cats / predator animals need bigger cages that building is old as hell, Awesome, but to crude for 2010 big cat standards.
Holy shit.. As if it wasn't loud af already, the fucking roar echos. Would've shat my pants right there and then if I was there.
Sounds like a rap song.
Respect...
omg i remember when i went there 6.5 years ago, they did the same thing lol
The king
It's a duet. :D
its not roaring, its BARKING
i agree thats fucked up,, let them be free ,, shit i cant stand to them behind a cage !!!
it's crying notice the girl lions reaction?

King that all i can say :)
That's a horrible cage. That better not be all of it!
i pissed off a tiger once by teasing it with other kids.. oh god how i regret that.. tigers roar is terryfying bro
I don't think those were angry roars. Lions roar like that in the wild to mark their territory. If they were angry I think they would have snarled and shown lots of teeth rather than just bellowing :) But thanks for sharing :)
whoa! that background painting looks so real, I'm sure the lions feel like they're in the wild. must be a smart man/woman who put it there.
They should take these lions on a tour of prison.... justice...
