Minor note, but when running multiple batteries, you should have your main positive draw from your first battery, and your negative draw from your last battery. Evens out the distribution.

In some places this is right however in car audio it don't matter much yes you get better efficiency but only 5% more efficient. So you only gain maybe .3-.8 of a volt

I'm surprised they took that much being elites,I had 2 of the older dx svc 12s on a kicker zx1500.1 doing 143.4 for a year before 1 blew and then i got the v2 tnt 15s and absolutely loved the tnt 15s that had the vented motor and the black basket the 800 1600 versions but jeep frame broke and they wouldnt fit in the civic but now I'm running a elevation audio dx1500.1 and 2 md sounds 12s and its definitely doing more than before with the other 12s.
I had the ab vfl4480.1 on the tnt15s and it wasnt even close to enough power.
I think I'm gonna get the newer xfls when I get a new alt for my civic and run my t2001bd rockford on 2 xfl12s.
I would get some DC audio lvl5 subs

Turn your subsonic filter or the high pass in your case up a lil pass the box tuning. You got plenty of power on tap to compensate the lost an prevent premature woofer failure.

Jacob - I wish I lived near you. I would so help you vinyl or fiberglass your box. Or Rhino spray It . So you would have that awesome look. With all that equipment you just bought. I would go with black and white. Since your batteries are black and your amp is black and white . Then I would just get black and white sleeves for your power and negative cables . Then put in some white LEDs around the amp and the batteries for show. - 😇😇

dam lol nice setup currently working on mine. Im happy that I got my alt in my amps run alot cooler tho even tho I havnt messed with my gains after I had lowered them from the max clean output that it would do. Im just waiting on my sub box for my 15 and my volt meter that plugs into the cig lighter that way I can see how it does when Im driving around.
i was kinda shocked this didnt do more on the meter . my suv is a lil bigger with no deadener or cabin mods and has 1 15'' Rockville destroyer on a pioneer amp , stock alt , 1 run of 1/0 nvx wire , DIY lithium battery and does 147.8db in the summer , this winter i was able to hit 148.5db with a ton of snow and ice on my roof lol ! my scores are also DB drag legal style so its all windows up and meter on windshield , if i do kick score with my drivers window cracked its about .4db higher score . must be the way i have my box or somethin . will be interesting to see the gains as you go and swap stuff out , if you need any help or tips feel free to ask . didnt you do a higher score with the dark audio nko's on less power ?
Yes I did 149 with the Dark audios! But the Jeep was a good deal smaller cabin and my box was tuned to 45 hz where as now I have it tuned to 35 hz. I also had the door open in the Jeep and in the sequoia I had door closed and window up.
When I get more time I’ll try out different things to see what we can do but for now it sounds good and I’m happy with it so don’t really care about the numbers

The MD12k is just overkill for what I needed. The Bass 8k is smaller, which gives me enough room for two of them when I had my 6 12s

Guys , I’ve just bought a Taramps MD 8000.1. It does 8000 w at 1ohm and about 5100 at 2 ohms. I have 2 American Bass XFLs 2x2 DVC. I should be getting a bit more then 2500rms if I wire both of them at 2ohm. For everyone in this comments column that has experience with these brands or Parker himself, Do you think this will be a good set up?? It’s my first time with either ones of these brands, I’ve had good sound systems in my car but I’m betting on these brands by watching this channel, thanks to anyone that can give me some info....👍
why is a 12K clipping with 6400 watts at 1.3ohms? I would expects 8K+? Is this voltage drop related?
The MD series amps suck on bass there made for mid range and high but they can run bass speakers but I promise you if you where to get a bass 12k or hd 12k that the bass will shine way more

I was going to say I have an 8 k and at 1.3 ohms was putting out if I remember correctly a little over 5,000 so I definitely think that 12K has a little more in it I'm actually about to go up to the 12K myself was considering just going with another 8K but just plan on running 3:18 instead of 4 due to space and the 12K wired at .67 should be just about perfect... Oh and by the way your box needs a few more layers on that baffle LMAO

Hey Parker, I just got a demo from one of my teammates the other day and he too has the taramps 12k but he is running lithium and has a good alt so he is pushing the ever living hell out of 4 skar zvx 15's in a 6th order walled off and I mean it will take your breathe away LITERALLY!!! I am currently working on upgrading my system from 4 SA15'S to 4 X15D2'S and I have two soundqubed q-4500.1's at half ohm each with a CES 300amp alt, XS power D3400 under hood and a d3100 out back with a juice box 20ah lithium battery recently added... I cannot wait to swap out my subs I've been staring at these X15'S for over 6mos now but with my SA's I'm able to do 153 on music all day long so I'm trying to join that 155+ club with the upgrade

Hey Parker do you ever plan on adding a rubber cover to the positive 6 spot terminals? I was going to replace my under the hood battery terminals to 6 spot terminals similar to yours but I don't like the idea of having the positive terminal exposed. Have you come across any solutions to this? I was looking at Versimold moldable rubber to possibly make a custom cover. Anyways would like to hear your opinion on the subject. Thanks. Cheers mate.

he is not going to get 150db because of the sub box and subs my x-10's doing 150+db and it is in a sedan not a suv :D lol

I just got RP-1200.1D amp and EVL-12 today in the mail. Do you think I should get an upgraded battery. My car is a Ford Fusion Hybrid SE 2017. My car has a stock small battery underneath the hood for electronics I think and another stock battery in the left side of my trunk. I’m a college student so this will be fine for me for now. What battery should I get for this amp to replace the stock battery in the trunk and your new system is coming along well one day I can get that loud after school is over

I got godfather 12v2s in the trunk on a md8000. Think the bass might actually kill me
I have the he 15's they beast .Parker that amp requires a bigger battery bank the Manuel has the info in it my md3000 requires 150amp hour so I definitely know that's not enough battery for it.

Full set up is 5 cubes tuned 36hz 2 ab godfather 12v2 ,md8k, audio control overdrive plus, ces 80ah, iraggi 320, rockford 400.4 on 4 skar tx 6x9s and taramps 400x4 on a pair of skar components. All 2/0 skyhigh ofc. Bunch of smd tooling. Besides the recone situation im happy with it all. I let someone with pro tools tune my shit and he had my bass boost almost all the way up.one Sub lasted half a song. But it saved the other one while blowing

With running different batteries do they fight each other especially with the one under the hood or do you have an isolator?
All the batteries are AGMs and have the same testing voltage so I haven’t had any issues
When wired in series its a definite no no but in parallel it will work.
They will still charge/discharge each other in parallel, which is not ideal, especially if one, the weaker, drains faster the stronger battery must put out more current to make up. You really want batteries that are the same age, type and rating for optimum performance. But again in parallel it will work.
Think of it like 4 people carrying a casket, 3 are linebackers and 1 is the kicker. The linebackers will likely be making up for the weak ass kicker, if u had 4 line men everyone would do equal work.
Almost did better than the dual 15s elites.

Parker I ordered 2 1222 xfl to run on that 3200 zeus mono block how should I wire them to get the best bass since there dual 2ohm on a 1 channel amp let me know asap I call Amazon back to change my order to the 1244 xfls to get 1ohm don't no if I should keep the 1222 or just get the 1244

Well in the video it did 146.8 or something like that with the box times to 35 hz. Could get louder with some adjustments but I like how it more musical for the time being

Hit up Brand X electrical on facebook for a bad ass alternator u wont be disappointed. Do the diode trick and charge to 15.2v-15.5v so when u get your lithuim u will be set. A yinglong 80ah bank should do good on a big boy alternator.

Why do you need all those batteries and stuff I've ran 2 12 JL audio w6s and 2 15 SoloBaric 15s and a 2k watt Fosgate amp off just 1 battery and factory alternator? Just curious??
The amp I am using is a true 12k rms amp and so can pull over 1000amps of current. If I had just one battery it would get exhausted very quickly and voltage would drop to dangerous levels.
Basically more batteries = more reserve power

Parker, what would you recommend as a battery setup for a 5000w amplifier? I have 1 run of positive alt to the positive on my front battery a 4 gauge and a 0g run to the back battery and engine block to ground and battery to ground, I'm still dropping to 11v with a 200 amp alt
Jaywalkin I know I’m not Parker but may be able to help. I have a crescendo bass cleff 6k amplifier. I personally run northstar group 31. They are expensive. But with two linked together running 1/0 welding cable. Big three with the same wire ,and a mechman 370 alternator. Lowest I drop is 13.5 full tilt. Up front is a lead acid group 31. I will be changing it to north star soon also.
@@adrianmack4753 alright, unfortunately I cant upgrade my alternator because I have a 2013 tarus sho and the bcm will go whacky with more output amperage, but with that being said I'll look into a better battery setup I have a agm up front and a cheap autozone group 31 in the back, under full tilt I drop to about 11.2 might get a couple of agm batteries in the back and throw another 0g run from the front battery and grounds, maybe wire up a 2nd alt as charge for the back battery
Jaywalkin I understand. A alternator would help a bunch since it would actually be able to charge the batteries while playing music. You can use a stock alternator and still charge the batteries. But you would have to let it charge back up over time.
What is the sq like of the taramp compared to the audiopipe and skar amps?

Reminder for anyone reading this.
If you hook your batteries up parallel, you get higher amperage and stay around 12 -14 volts.
If you need more voltage, run two in series like a flashlight 🔦 and check the voltage after adding each battery until you get the desired output.
So what should I wire them in? and how do you wire them in series and parallel

@@jeremyvillegas572 parallel like Parker did. Series works great if you need 24 Volts. You can use a voltage regulator after the 24 volts to step down to something like 18 Volts.
Or if you have 3 6 volt a caps and want to make a 18 volt capbank that consists of 3 capacitors.
Then run those in series using the first cap negative for the ground and the third for the +
