- I saw this machine that 3D prints custom face masks on Facebook, so I had to try it! This machine will make you pretty much any kind of face mask you want so you can ~customize your skincare~. I tried a few different recipes for my skin concerns, what do you guys think? Is this the future of skincare and sheet masks?

Adding an infusion of mint (tea) and rosemary would be good for a refreshing face mask, I believe. Infusion: an extract prepared by soaking the leaves of a plant or herb in liquid. Rose water and green tea would be excellent ideas as well. I enjoy your content and am glad to be a subscriber.
I think it's better to use this infusion undiluted... Safia followed instructions down to a t and added way too much water even in the already liquid lemonade

So disappointed that you didn't do an espresso one. 😆 I also think it'd be funny to do a water one, have someone try it without them knowing what's in it and see what they say about it lol (I'm a scientist, I'm all about that blind testing lol). I actually think this is a great idea if you have allergies: I'm allergic to lavender and sometimes I find a mask I really like the sound of but it has stealth lavender, so I have to be super careful about reading ingredients. It could be cool to get into blends with essential oils too.

I agree. I think you shouldn't add more water when the juices already have water in them. Too much water,waters down the quantity of the ingredients in the mask therefore, the collagen comes out too thick and gooey.

Do this again but just put 75-100ml of the same liquid! Don't dilute it with the water. Im sure in the juice bar and stuff they would have added plenty of water. possible masks:
1- Black coffee
2- Anything but add food colouring to make it all funky!!
3- Place small pieces of fruit on the mold and let the mask set around it!!

Yep, especially if the liquid is like those clear juices, you can definitely add more juice and less water. If the liquid is thick or has a lot of pulp in it then maybe not

I don’t know this video was so old. I just saw a short of it yesterday and went to search for it when this came up.
The nice thing about this is that there is less waste! No individual packages, and no weird cloth or plastic. Just ingredients that will decompose on their own!
Amy Simon It won’t decompose if it’s thrown in the trash and subsequently the landfill, just like any sort of fruit/vegetables/meat.

@@andydietrich3689 land fills don't have magic powers to stop decomposition. Decomposition happens no matter where it is. Fruits even start decomposing while sitting on your counter. In a landfill it is a slower decomposition than a handmade compost pile but all products that decompose do eventually decompose.

little tip: in japan there’s a place with green tea baths to help wake you up and get you ready for the day and coffee will wake you up and prevent wrinkles and red wine helps refresh,reverse wrinkles,and relax. :) have fun

But tati lists pros and cons and usually does check-ins throughout the day to show how a product wears or fades. Tati also does a lot of interesting products just for fun - which I find hilarious. What if you put less water and more juice into it, or instead of water green tea for example? Would that work?
I was thinking the same. The juice also has lots of water. So why add 70ml extra? Just use 100ML of juice.
If you were to put green tea instead of water, it will work the same because green tea is basically water infused with herbs and stuff.

1) Fresh Lemon Juice ( has glycolic acid in it, which is good for black heads and pores)
2) coconut oil (to sooth dry skin)
3) grapefruit juice ( has vitamin C3 which counteracts oily skin)
I did a lot of research, so please give this a try! Keep up the good work, Safiya! I love your videos!
ps. I only took into account the things you mentioned in the video, but here is a little guide
Tired eyes : soy milk
Acne : Frankincense Essential Oil
Eczema : Geranium Essential Oil
Aging Skin ( not that I think you will need that anytime soon) Jasmine Essential Oil
Scent ( ones that smell good but can’t hurt) : rose water, lavender Essential Oil, rosemary Essential Oil, and eucalyptus oil
If there are any other questions or ideas, please let me know! I know that this is super late, but better late then never!
Anya Khemlani putting any kind of oil in that device may not be a good idea. I don’t think the machine is set up to accommodate oil in general.
haley polk The video says that the machine can use any liquid, so that is what I went off of!
I don't know about the oil in the machine, but I do know that coconut oil is pretty comedogenic. For some people, the coconut oil may just cause more breakouts and not provide much moisture. Also, when using lemon juice and grapefruit juice, make sure to avoid going outside in the sunlight since vitamin C can react with the sun causing photosensitivity.

I think the water part is needed because of the nature of water and its pH. It tends to be more likely to dissolve and suspend things that are in it. I don't think that the other liquids would work the same. Water is pretty unique :)

You should try to change the ratios. like these juices are mostly water anyways so what if you just add them and skip on the extra water? Also, it would be interesting if you got some extracts (Kiwifruit), some vitamins (e.g Vitamin C) and made your own formula.

Whoa um, kiwis are probably a bad idea, though. Kiwi has enzymes in it that can break up proteins, and collagen is a protein.
