Thank you for this video. I love Bob! My children used to watch him also. They are grown now and still talk about "the painting man". I am grateful his videos will live on forever. Crazy times we live in. Watching Bob transports you to a world where there are no mistakes, only happy accidents. Where happy little trees live. Where he brings his critters from time to time. What a beautiful world! Rest in paradise Bob! I can only imagine the paintings you are creating in heaven!
My husband learned to paint from Bob Ross. Over the years he's gotten better and better. He still puts Bob's painting shows on from time to time. Thanks for taking us on this tour!!

After the program I had watched was over, I got on my iPad, went onto RUclips, and was watching more videos of him paint. I immediately thought to myself that I would love to learn how to paint pictures like Bob
True A legal battle ensued between partners and his family. He had Lymphoma but kept it quiet and those other partners tried to take advantage by trying to get him to sign over rights to them. He didn’t ,but they won in court. Such a tragedy how things worked out. Wondering who owns this house museum now?

Thank you for bringing back my childhood days of watching Bob Ross paintings. I loved his trees and mountains. Beautiful paintings. This video brought back memories but I never skipped school to watch him. Lol
Eh, folks, that was a REPLICA of the studio, not the actual studio. Joy of Painting was filmed at the PBS station's studio in Muncie, not at a house. There would have been massive audio mixers and studio lights that would never fit in that room, nor could all that equipment be powered by a residential electrical service.
I never knew this was in Muncie Indiana...You were about 45 minutes away. Wish I would have known that. Could have taken you all out for dinner! Have a great weekend Will & Dawn and Chris & Mindy! 🥰

Bob Ross was a exceptionally gifted artist. Makes me want to bring out my paints and start painting again I had a lot of happy accidents while painting. Thanks for sharing God Bless

Minnetrista was actually the row of Ball Brothers (glass jars) family mansions. Today its the heritage of theirs along the banks of the White River. As a kid seeing him in town was so neat...same with Jim Davis (Garfield) was neat.
Years ago I'd tune in Bob Ross and his instruction with the soothing voice would put me to sleep. I did learn a few techniques from watching his show.....as long as I stayed awake. 🤓 Always wondered how much $$$$ he blew on hair permanents to keep up the doo. When I was a kid in the 60s I watched artist Jon Gnagy on our old black & white Philco TV.
My husband is a great painter and photographer Will. I do flower arrangements and wreaths plus decorate the home. That's my artistic ability. But I love to cook!!❤️

Next time you come to Orlando, stop by and see Bob's resting place at Wood Lawn Cemetery. He died too young.
