It’s powered by your battery, so even if you hard wire it to an always on power source it’s going to drain your battery. How much or how quickly is the question. I plan to do this with my car, but I drive an EV and the car monitors the 12v battery and tops it off from the drive battery if it gets low so this won’t be a problem for me.
What did you do with the red wire for the rear cam? Is the for grounding? Good job on the video, it helps. If i were you, and i did this to my vehicle, i removed the paneling for a more professional look when installing the wires so it doesn't show and no double tape is needed. But let me know what you did with the red wire, please? Thx
the red wire for the rear camera is actually a trigger wire for if you were using it as a backup camera, so it’s completely optional. you can connect it to your car’s reverse light circuit using either soldering or a wire tap, that way the screen on the dash cam will switch to the rear view whenever you switch to your reverse gear while driving. hope this helps 👍
Hi. I haven't explored this camera deeper yet. But generally, GPS can be used to measure speed and determine the direction you're moving. They are displayed at the bottom part of the footages.
It's for those folks that do NOT have a factory built-in reverse camera which is standard equipment for newer models. If you DO have a factory built-in reverse camera, then that wire is not necessary to hook up. Just neatly rout it with the reverse cam cable.
reading the user manual in section 13(pages 19-31) for the cam it shows you how to navigate the settings for the camera. i think whenever i connected my phone to the dash cam through wifi it was able to synchronize the date and time, however you can change the date and time manually in general settings.
Buenos días compré una dash cam pruveo pero no vino con cable de estacionamiento. La alimentación es tipo C . Necesito saber qué tipo de cable comprar y donde instalarlo en la caja de fusibles interior de Toyota Sienna 2019
Is it normal for the camera to be turning off and on when in parking mode? We just had that ACC kit installed by a technician, and he said it was normal.
I installed it no problem with help from this video. Thanks 🙏 although idk what the red wire is for also I’d like to know if the camera is able to keep recording after you turn off the car…
That red rire is for a hardwire kit. The kit will keep power to your cam 24/7 and that's the only way to record video when parked. It'll be hard wired to your fuse box. I just got one and about to install it in my car
@angelines7409 I was wrong about the red wire. You can connect it to your reverse lights for the parking assist function. You do need a hardwire kit to record 24/7 but I was wrong about the red wire. I just installed mine and should've made a video but didn't. When I put my car in reverse the dash cam acts as a backup cam. Its very small and I'll never use it for that but I did connect the red wire to my reverse light. Amazon sells the hard wire kit for it.
Omg can someone please help with this shit. lol so I’ve had the camera for about a week or so installed in my car and it works perfectly fine, even records while car is off. For some reason I CANT SET THIS DAMN TIME. I get to the menu, SWITCH THE TIME AND EVERYTHING BUT CANT LOCK IT IN, everytime I press “home” and it goes back to recording, the time always goes back to the incorrect time.. how do u lock the actual time in .. please any advice will be greatly appreciated
Just got mines today you just go to the setting general then time zone press ok on your time zone and you should be good mines was set for Easter time and I fixed it to pacific

it only stays running if you have the parking monitor turned on in settings. however this will absolutely drain your battery over time without the proper equipment so i recommend purchasing the pruveeo acc hardwire kit if you want that function.
Thanks for an informative video. The one big thing missing is showing how the rear camera was attached, even though it shows how the front camera was attached. It's puzzling that for a long video like this it misses the very important step of showing the attachment of the rear camera.
Need a video on how to connect it to mobile app. Just having it in physical SD card leaves you vulnerable to someone removing the card in a worst case scenario.
It's a BIG help video on how to install and set up. Thank You.
Wow! Never know that a good SD card is so important in these dash cam! Just get that SD card during the Black Friday sale! Thanks for the video
Do I need a hardwire kit for this camera because I'd like it to monitor while car is parked & not drain my battery
Yes

Thanks for sharing so much detail. I appreciate it. Continued success to you.
Thank you for this!! So if it records a short stop I can’t delete it from the SD?
Does it catch the numbers letters title of car?
great video i just got those dash cam at pawn shop brand new in a case for $25 looks great product just need mount on my car regards from texas
Question what does the GPS function do?
Hi. I haven't explored this camera deeper yet. But generally, GPS can be used to measure speed and determine the direction you're moving. They are displayed at the bottom part of the footages.
Is the dashcam supposed turn off when the car is powered off?
What adhesive do I attach to the back camera for the inside
I used double sided 3M tape
Pero el cable rojo de la camara trasera donde va conectado??
what about red cable on the rear camera?? I really dont know what's the function..
That is for wiring to you reverse lights

Can you tell me how to change date and time from pruveeo dash cam please?

Do I need the film if I don't use the suction cup
Great video thank you

Bro ty. Great review
Why is there no installation instructions in the manual? WTH
You said that it doesn’t “loop” and record over but that’s not correct. It DOES loop automatically if you read the manual?
Is it normal for the camera to be turning off and on when in parking mode? We just had that ACC kit installed by a technician, and he said it was normal.
So can you not access recordings from the app?
You can but you have to press the dash cam into wifi mode then connect to it through your phone and then you can access the videos
I installed it no problem with help from this video. Thanks 🙏 although idk what the red wire is for also I’d like to know if the camera is able to keep recording after you turn off the car…

@@alrhodes05hey I’m about to install mine today, do you just pull the rear light housing off and solder the wire onto the reverse light wire?
Would the rear camera wire be long enough for a long suburban?
yes it is-i have a yukon xl and the cable was long enough
What is the red wire for?
About to have this installed without the rear camera. Hopefully it still works
thank you!

Turn off daylight saving option and it should lock in to the time that you set it to.
I want to view it on the phone can I do that
Great video but didn’t showed us how to install the red wire on the back up camera

I installed, had it running for an hour and I have NO VIDEO, NOTHING.
It only record if you press record or it detects a car accident
Thank you for your help bro. The Lord guide your life in Jesus Christ, trust in repentance, and God bless you.

Great video, how to see recorded video
Hold down the M button for 3 seconds
You should not be making any videos because you do not know how to properly install the wiring for this camera.
Thank you for the feedback. I'd be open to corrections.
@@cbarucom remove your trim and hide the wires. You have it exposed with tape all over the place. Looks sloppy
@@cbarucomI think you did a fine job. I’m not removing my trim. Everyone has personal preferences.
How much is it ?
