I’m reading false witness by Karin slaughter it’s a mystery novel
Leigh Collier has worked hard to build what looks like a normal life. She’s an up-and-coming defense attorney at a prestigious law firm in Atlanta, would do anything for her sixteen-year-old daughter Maddy, and is managing to successfully coparent through a pandemic after an amicable separation from her husband Walter.
But Leigh’s ordinary life masks a childhood no one should have to endure … a childhood tarnished by secrets, broken by betrayal, and ultimately destroyed by a brutal act of violence.
On a Sunday night at her daughter’s school play, she gets a call from one of the firm's partners who wants Leigh to come on board to defend a wealthy man accused of multiple counts of rape. Though wary of the case, it becomes apparent she doesn't have much choice if she wants to keep her job. They're scheduled to go to trial in one week. When she meets the accused face-to-face, she realizes that it’s no coincidence that he’s specifically asked for her to represent him. She knows him. And he knows her. More to the point, he may know what happened over twenty years ago, and why Leigh has spent two decades avoiding her past.

I've just finished A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes, which is basically the story of Troy from the women's perspective. Utterly absorbing and a terrific read, I'm recommending it to everyone!
I use a blow dryer, aimed at the sticker.. the warm air helps to loosen the goo and the gently peel them away.. works almost every time for me. If there is any reaidue left, you can use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and gently rub it away. I hope you're able to get the sticker off!

I'd love to see more bookish content from you if you'd like to do it. Maybe you could do a book tag soon? There's a bunch of different ones to choose from. I keep seeing City of Thorns on my Kindle app show up....I just finished the Bargainer series and Savage the Swan so I may have to try that one out....after I finish my second re-read of ACOTAR I'm diving into Crescent City 🌆...oh the dark element series was fun to read. I loved Roth ❤️

You can use a little bit of nail polish remover on a cotton ball to help loosen and then clean up the residue from a sticker. If you just use a bit it wont damage the cover.
I can't wait for you to read Crescent City, it's one of my favourite books from Sarah J Maas, plus the sequel is out Feb 15th❤🌙Ps. I love your videos!

Though I'm loving the ASMR, the book recommendations are what I'm here for.
Interesting and wide collection of books Madi, I liked it 👍🏻. Judging by the types of books you like reading, I would recommend you check out The Red Wing Saga by Sharon K. Gilbert, all six books. I think they're the type of subject matter you would enjoy reading. Just a suggestion. As for me, I just finished reading Gods and Heroes Of Ancient Greece by Gustav Schwab, which explains the origins of the Greek gods and heroes and events like Troy and the Odyssey, cool things if you like mythology and such. I got another book that I haven't start reading yet but I will soon, Zeitgeist 2025 by Thomas Horn.
Oh and I love the warrior series!!! That was on of my favorites as a kid!! ^_^

I love these videos ! I need to work on my bookshelf too. Ps,. I can’t believe you haven’t read HP! So so good. I’ve been really into thrillers right now. Just finished ‘Verity’ by Colleen Hoover and ‘The guest list’ by Lucy Foley.
Relaxing as always, Madi :) I'm a fan of autobiographies (Acid for the Children by Flea) and nonfiction critical essays (Neil Postman's stuff). Yeah, real interesting, right? :) They're intriguing, though. And very cool Potter book box you have there!
You should check out the dark hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Great mix of fantasy and romance. Great taste in books! If you don't mind the lack of romance(mostly) the Mistborn series and really everything by Brandon Sanderson is elite level fantasy

You should make a series reading us a series or stand alone book!!
I would love a no-talking version of this, where it’s just a bunch of taking books on and off the shelf, flipping through the pages, fingerpad tapping on the books, stroking the covers.

If you haven’t, read the Wind on Fire Trilogy. Fantasy series from the early 2000s that is phenomenal.
I also really liked the Lux-Series by Jennifer Armentrout :)

you should read the legend series. it’s 3 books: legend, prodigy, and champion. not at all what i thought. it’s a love story embedded in a thriller, dystopian type theme. i read it back in middle school and it’s been my favorite series ever since. i wanna say i’ve read them 4 or 5 times

This is cool. Sadly I had to give up feeding physical books well over a decade ago. It's too bad I had a nice collection of books now they're all packed away. However, it doesn't mean I can't enjoy a nice audio story here and there :-). You keep up that reading whether you're actually reading a book or listening to a story it can take you to another world another place and it's very enjoyable :-)
If you like Jennifer Armentrout and prefer new adult books I highly recommend the Titan series by her. The first book is The Return. She does have a prequel series before the Titan series, which is also very good but it’s ya, but you don’t have to read the prequel first. The Titan series is a complete and it’s 4 books. Highly recommend
I just finished reading Hellstrom's Hive (Frank Herbert), I don't particularly recommend it because the ending doesn't feel like an ending.😬🙄 Great video anyway, good night everyone😊🥰!
When I was little, my brother and dad would have a Harry Potter reading contest during the summer. You'd pick up one of the books and find 2 different bookmarks. I also do a little writing in my spare time, but it's very "R" rated, and it only makes sense to me.
