Interestingly, Biten's "mirrored" artwork (when playing as her) is actually the correct orientation. In the endings where she appears, the sleeve is on her _left_ arm.
Hmm, I suppose with the story resolving itself in a few more videos, I remember the interview BeatMario did with ZUN some time ago, where he asked him whether Zanmu is a good guy. To which ZUN almost incredulously said (paraphrased) "Not really, no." Suika pretty much nailed the head with how some people will perceive Zanmu
Biten is pretty average for a shot, with a low damage but with nice screen control with her level 2. Her scope's also pretty nice to farm the purple items to increase you gauge. Her route is fairly easy, with Reimu being the only hard fight in her route. Her main strength is her level 3, which can corner the AI pretty well. In both versions of UDoALG, you can easily kill Suika before her final by just spamming her level 3. Speaking of Suika, Suika is more annoying than hard. She's on the easier side of the spectrum in terms of this game's final bosses. The annoying part is just the fact that the timers on her spells last for so long, and on her first two spells she's only vulnerable for a brief moment. Fortunately, Biten can kill Suika early while the next two characters can easily speedkill Suika's spells with their levels 1 and 2, making her fight as a final boss trivial, though I find Saki a much easier final boss. Also, fun fact, in all the fighting games + the VS shmups, Suika has the second most final boss appearances after Reimu, appearing of course as a final boss in her debut, the final boss of Patchouli's story in SWR, and now the final boss of the three spies/matriarch servants in UDoALG. The most appearances other fighting games and VS shmup final bosses besides Reimu and Suika are 2 times, with Yukari, Byakuren, Miko, Mokou and Tenshi appearing as a final boss in two different fighting games. Next time, local dog terrorizes Gensokyo with bear traps
Some monkey business, but unfortunately, no Gorilla Tactics. Biten's damage is very low, yes, but at least her Lv2 is an exceptionally good screen cleaner against enemies, as demonstrated well enough in this video. Her main method of speeding things up is by going straight for the neck with her Lv3, especially on higher difficulties, where the Spell Levels start out higher. Her Lv3 on said higher levels acts three times, and it's generally pretty good at trapping the AI in a corner and hitting them. And here we start the arc of Suika thinking she's so special... Meh. Her final is garbage, but at least everyone who faces her has something against it. In Biten's case, it's straight up avoiding it altogether by killing her before she gets there.
11:55 - The whiplash I got from Reimu’s theme playing instead of Suika’s theme… I think the music patch overall improves the game, but some character’s themes don’t match the scenario sometimes. You win some, you lose some. I assume that Biten’s level 2 attack is better version of Seiran’s. Just how stale do these breadsticks have to be in order to pierce?
with how weak Biten's shot power was, and how her EX at higher levels seem to effortlessly wall the CPU when catching them at a corner, I wonder if it's more efficient to defeat the CPU rather than the designated spells for the Suika fight if you practice it enough

Biten's breadstick spinning after beating Yachie fills me with amusement.
Then, how about four breadsticks and a Bitencopter? (After beating Sanae)
I love how her character bio just casually spoils that she's a double agent who's actually working for Zanmu
Ah yes, the infamous 'and thus, Yachie became a shell of her former self'. How the mighty schemer has fallen after...2.5 games. New record, really.
Is this the Wukong game everyone is talking about?
Di-di-di-disconize!

Imo, that theme doesn't fit Reimu at all
It feels too generic
Like the 1st or 2nd theme of a scene game
MONKE.
Genuinely forgot Sanae and Suika were in this game...
Relatedly, I guess that conspicuously blank space on the select screen has to be Suika.
It turned out, bread did not make for a very effective projectile weapon. Live and learn.
Up next: Three Dog Knight.
12:04 that's the face of someone who hasn't hit a youkai in a while LMAO
Run monke run, before the hakurei balls of HELL

You would be correct
Diavolo with infinite death loop: Biten= wukong
15:08 Oof, barely a second left to beat her.
OSSU
ORA GOKU

Just gotta say, Blonde Suika looks so wrong and also bad.
This art of Suika in general is... ehhh
@@akenohononiku916 ehh is underselling it, this is an awful Suika portrait
