Just took Kevin’s long range class this past weekend. One of the best firearms courses I have taken. A lot information in 2 days, but learned so much from it.

Love your honesty and your integrity. Have been following you for years. Love all the content. Would you ever do story time videos? I remember a few years ago you mentioned doing it. Like showing a photo and then telling us about it. And stories of deployments and training etc. would love to hear them! God bless you and your family

Kevin, I think our paths may have crossed during yours service in Irish defence forces....fair play to what you have achieved both in service with us in pdf and in your USA service. I' was a sniper and sniper instructor from Collin's bks
Cork. For your American subscribers that's very south of Ireland. I loved the course along with my colleagues. We did a bit of early work with the AGS (Irish police force) before they stood up their own snipers sec within
ERU. Just wanted to say great that things have worked for you after having to make the decision to leave ARW .I would have been on a number of courses in the 90s and interacted with your ARW collogues both on basic and sniper instructor course. From your previous podcast's I saw what you said about the class system with the Irish defenc forces. Your spot on ,it still exists today. In fact things have got worse ,now the woke culture brigade...Good guys like yourself feel it's not the army they once new. But on a positive note the pay has improved a bit , now I'm coming to the end of my career shortly .I've really enjoyed your podcasts ,I can come from the same experience you had in South Lebanon on Hill 880 & Atiri village in the enclave itsi a place I will never forget...no young people, only very old fragile people, who had no life under occupation ,and an incident can happen very quickly. I recall our former colleague Cpl Michael McCarthy who was killed by the DFF (Defacto Forces) Christian milita while on patrol In the village in 15 Nov 1991.They murdered him for nothing.there was Qs to be answered too by our officers in the descion to send in that patrol in the first place....it was a volatile place , where we learned things the hard way. Keep going with your podcasts Kevin ,I'm now a subscriber now.

Love the video! Always quality content.
Quick note about what you said at ~ 9:34 - Thermal and NV clip-ons rarely shift your point of aim due to physical influence on the rail or mounting system (especially on quality firearms). What they actually do is introduce the need for collimation, that is - the front objective of the digital or analog clip-on optic is rarely in perfect alignment with the front objective of your primary optic. Envision looking through a glass prism, the light is bent slightly from its original path, and you perceive a shifted image. This shift must be corrected for - either by adjusting the primary optic, or adjusting the clip-on optic, to collimate the two optical systems such that your point of aim is again your point of impact. High end clip-on devices have physical collimating prisms built into the optic itself to allow you to correct for this shift.
There's a lot more nerdy science to it when you start involving multiple optical lenses, especially multiple distinct optical systems, but that's the basics of the interaction between a primary optic and a clip-on secondary optic.

When it comes to not being a slave to companies and selling out for money, keep doing what you are doing. You and Kirsten are doing it right, and are well respected. If an opportunity presents itself for you t be sponsored by something you truly stand behind and believe in, go for it. We will know its a good product.
Have fun with my Marine Brothers.... Id give anything to go hang out with young Jarheads again. I will be spending a week with a bunch of Air Force Logisticians next week. Its kinda cool but not the same thing. I will have nice quarters and meals though. LOL.

I’ve had ONE barrel benefit from break in. I would’ve benefitted from not buying the gun in the first place. The military got it right paying for a barrel like a Douglas for precision applications. To me the real way to judge barrel quality is consistency of accuracy and ease of cleaning. Shitty barrels take forever to clean, a lot of rounds to settle in, and fewer rounds to foul out and require cleaning. They can shoot bugholes in between though.

I am right handed, but left eye dominant. Firing a pistol with either hand and keeping both eyes open is something that I have been able to do with some success. However I haven't been able to fire effectively with my AR right handed or with both eyes open. Was wondering if you had any suggestions?

I am the same, can shoot a pistol by turning my head slightly to the right on draw: youtube vids on different methods: t-rex arms.
AR with a reddot, i just close my left eye as i bring the rifle up, haven't found any other way.
      Hope this helps.
