For me, the association with Austria is not the war, but the composers who ennobled humanity. I'm sure there will be someone who will write something ugly on your wonderful message, and you will forgive them for their ignorance. Thank you bro! :)

But Galis also had a huge imoact because he showed how the practice should be done with more hard work.

I'm french an I get emotionnal watching this report. First because I was a basketball player, coach and I'm still a lover of the game. My most important coach (when I was 15 to 19) was Srđan Kalember (I knew him as Serge, like me, at the time), who really teached me the fundamentals and the game, but also helped me to be who I am with his exigency and discipline. [EDIT : he appears at the beginning of the video, he played with the Red Star in the 40's and with the national team in the world cup 1950 in Buenos Aires] . He was semi-retreated from the game as a professionnal, but he lived in my little town of Rixheim (Alsace, near Mulhouse) in the eighties and he offered to train our non-professionnal team for free, for the love of the game. I often think about him when it comes to basketball, or Serbia, and this report gives me the wish to come and visit Beograd one day. RIP, coach.

Dare i say that the talent in serbia (and Spain for that matter) surpasses the US talent nowdays. P.S. Pop was (and still is) light years ahead from his time!! Hat's off to the Serbians and Jugoslavians for giving so much to the game!!

I get it why it's hard to understand from Your perspective, but we who grew up training basketball in Serbia can tell you - when you watch those guys bring those medals to the balcony in Belgrade, and you know you're a member of a small nation that just beat everyone and anyone - you get to stand on the shoulders of those giants and you either put in 250% of yourself into the training or you realise you're not really cut out for it and you should make space for someone else who is. Coaches are rigorous, basketball trainings were super tough and repetitive - GOD how repetitive it was, I get anxious just thinking about it. But you know that saying "I don't fear a man who threw 10.000 punches once, but the man who threw 1 punch 10.000 times. Repetition is key, coaches demand results, they push you to your limits and you overcome those limits, then you just want to see how far you can go. It's a tough environment to be in, but know that, at least in my time, some 20 years ago - over 70% of kids tried and trained basketball at least for a year or two. Serbia bro. Much love from a neighbour :)

More recently Teodosic, Bogdanovic, Boban, Bjelica, Jovic and The Joker of course. And I can't forget to mention the greatest Euroleague coach of all time: Zeljko Obradovic. I believe that African national teams would reach the top of basketball faster if they adopted the European basketball philosophy instead of the NBA style. If African coaches were trained in Europe, basketball in Africa would quickly break through to the top of the world. African football teams in the past were at the level of today's African basketball, and now they can compete with the best teams in the world. That time will come.

My mom was asking "who started playing hoops around the house all of a sudden?" and I told her "no one in particular but everyone who comes around" 😂 and it is so natural for all, men, women, children, whenever we have people over someone would jump up and start shooting 😂
