The browned bits of food that stick to the bottom of a pan or pot after browning meat or vegetables are called fond. Adds great flavor and moisture to sauces and other dishes!
I am making your recipe tomorrow for my family! I’ve already made a tray of meatballs and a plate of braciole to cook for tomorrow. Letting the flavors meld overnight. Thank you for sharing!! ❤
I use ground pork, veal and lamb recipe to make meatballs with a slice of bread soaked in milk and then eggs and spices. A recipe from my Uncle’s Italian grandmother taught to my mother. I can still see her standing at our stove mixing and tasting as she created this masterpiece. She added the browned sausage and it simmered all day on the stove. Perfection! Love your channel and your family ❤.
Historically sunday sauce in Italian homes is whatever meat you had in the house and it would all go n the Sunday sauce so mort3della would s cheap you saw the veal mix that shouldn’t cost much at a butchers and the braciole was round steak or skirt steak with breadcrumbs and some kind of herbal mix tied all of this will go into the sauce

What do you do with the meat you originally browned? Do you leave it whole, or cut up. If I can't locate MUTTI in Nashville what is another go to brand?
